Protesters have been in front of Caylee Anthony’s grandparents home every night now for weeks protesting that Caylee’s mom, Casey Anthony was set free on bail and allowed to stay at home without telling what happened to little Caylee. They have been damaging grass areas, starting fights, and generally making a scene in front of the Anthony home only to have the courts yet still turn down their plea to end this.
It seems now that the Anthony’s are going to need to have more protection against the protesters but the question is who exactly will be paying for this extra protection. When off duty officers are sent in somewhere to protect someone they are normally paid with taxpayer’s money. I don’t see this making life easy for the Anthony’s or the protesters. The sheriff, the county and all the legal teams involved in this case are trying to come up with the best solution here.
Commissioner Linda Stewart said she still has some concern even though Casey left her house this morning when the neighborhood was quiet with no protesters around. “Because of the significant disruption to the lives of the neighbors, I am still concerned about the safety and well being of the entire neighborhood.”
Putting the off duty officers outside the Anthony home at the taxpayers expense is touchy ground. “I have concerns because we don’t do that in any other section of the county and we’ve had to put people out there to calm things down,” said Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary. “I’m hoping we get some court relief. Right now that does not look like it’s going to happen. It’s being denied, denied, and denied.”
The other options for an answer to this problem other than placing off duty officers there are: Doing nothing and waiting for a court-ordered injunction, or putting a designated protest area in place, or implementing a curfew. Another choice could be that the county could decide to put a new county ordinance in place that would not only protect the neighborhood where the Anthony’s are but others as well.
There is a question out there as to how come the Homeowners Association doesn’t pay for the extra protection from the off duty officers. Fox 35’s Shannon Butler has been asking the Homeowners Association’s attorney why that is not currently an option but he has not returned his calls. Cindy and George Anthony’s attorney, Mark Nejame is working with them on the plans of how to handle this situation also.
I say make the Anthony’s pay for it, if not for all then perhaps some of it at least. If any one else needed protection such as this then they would normally be responsible for footing the bill for it themselves. Why should the Anthony’s get protection at the taxpayer’s expense when it is their daughter that is causing all this commotion by not talking?
When approached about the investigation concerning finding Caylee, Sheriff Beary said they are waiting for a few pieces of evidence to come back from the FBI. He says this sort of thing doesn’t happen overnight. He says they are being careful right now because they want to make sure they don’t make any mistakes since they just might end up having to work a homicide case without a body.

Heck no our tax dollars shouldn’t be paying for this careless mothers inability to take care of her child. Maybe after a few years in prison she’ll start talking. The truth is she doesn’t care about the kid. Simple fact. She shouldn’t be allowed out on bail especially for the perjury she committed. Why would you lie about what happened to you’re small child unless you had something to hide or to do with it? It’s been about 100 days since the kid went missing and it’s obvious she was out having a great time while her child was “supposedly” kidnapped.And the fact that the abandoned car was found in the state it was is extremely suspicious. She said the smell was caused by a dead squirrel. I wonder what kind of story she’ll come up with to explain the traces of chloroform the stain and the hair. Who the heck has chloroform lying around the house??? The point is this story is ridiculous. And the fact that they want to pass the costs down to the taxpayers is even more sickening. I hope this woman gets everything she has coming to her including a very long stint in prison. Justice will be served. Nuff Said.

After seeing the video of the loud mouthed bimbo whose child was injured when his arm was crushed between the frame and the car door I am of the opinion that there is a need for police security in that neighborhood. The Anthony’s other then Casey have not been charged with any crime and the court of public opinion does not count here in the US. The Anthony’s neighbors are also suffering because some idiots want to see themselves on the news. There is no need whatsoever for people to be loitering in that neighborhood and the police should be issuing tickets and arresting those who are disturbing the peace.
If I lived there I would be furious that all this nonsense is being permitted.

Linda, that is just a rumor that Caylee was sold. Law enforcement says there is DNA evidence that Caylee is dead. They have evidence that her body was in Casey’s trunk and in the Anthony back yard but they haven’t found the body yet.

Hey 2 Cents I guess we can look at this way if they request a bigger budget for this case to supply protection against the protesters and they get that budget and then arrest M they have all that extra budget money to put more cops on the street for the crimes there.
I don’t feel that they need protection. They can all protect themselves. I just wish protestors would leave their children home and not put their children in danger. I do believe that George and Cindy can take care of themselves. I do feel though that sonner or later someone is either going to be seriously hurt or killed. I also feel that they should really get the snot head out of the house and put her somewhere else. Prision would be the best place for her without protection. According to Shirley, C would call M each day, and M would promise to come over with Caylee the next day.
Next day, C would be waiting and called again , just to be told the same thing again by M, will be over next day..
C never left the house on her vacation, just worked in the yard.
M did that cruel thing on two seperate vacation weeks to C.
Frankly when M finally goes to jail hopefully for a long time, C & G will be better off without M and can go back to a relatively normal life IMO.

The protesters are nothing compared to what the inmates are going to do to monster.

I just read that a couple of Orange county commissioners say that the sheriff has a big enough budget to hand le the protesters.
George did have a cement slab poured where he removed a tree. He put the storage box on the slab so Caylee couldn’t climg on it and get into the pool. He then replanted the tree in the other corner of the property.

very good article Jan (as always.) The Anthony’s should have to pay for the extra “protection”. They continue to hold vigils which could be held in their backyard (or even a church)… but then they wouldn’t get the protestor’s or media attention they feel they need. I think the Ant’s should be asking for protection, but not from the protestors….it seems to me they aren’t concerned about living with a possible (let me change that to “probable” murderer!!)
So then Sabrina if they move the vigils to a church what would it hurt.

The Anthony family seems to have managed to hire high priced lawyers on their own. They have a “spokesperson”, who I presume is paid by them. So, now, why shouldn’t they pay for their own protection? They don’t seem concerned for the wellbeing of their neighbors or their own community. If they feel they are in danger, then let THEM pay.
Since time began, people have killed others whether in an act of vengeance, theft, rape, insanity, the list goes on.
BUT.. when a parent kills a child, its a totally different crime. Especially a small child. Children are brought into the world to be protected and guided. Each parent has their own way of showing these skills. As a parent, we would stand in front of our child to prevent harm coming to them. This is the inbred instincts of a parent, especially a Mother.
A 3 year old child is totally dependent on that mother for her life’s sustenance and wellbeing.
It seems that this beautiful child was used as a pawn between her mother and grandparents. Apparently, the grandparents were the caregivers and the actual mother was allowed to drag that little girl around wherever and whenever she so decided.
So, now it seems that she has killed her own child and no remorse is evident. Of course, anyone with a brain realizes this woman is a social misfit and should never have given birth. So, as much as I sympathize with the Grandparents’ loss of this child, I also hold them responsible for her fate. They have seen their daughter’s life unravel for a long time. They knew her weaknesses and that she didn’t even want to keep the baby when she was born. So, in talking her into keeping the child, they assumed the responsibility for the safety of that little girl.
But, as we witness, the grandparents are supporting the circus that has arisen from day one of this case. Why are they harboring this woman in their home? Why have they helped her with bail and PR, etc? Why can’t they separate their feelings for their daughter from the knowledge of this heinous crime she has committed? Why make things easy for this murderer to sit back and enjoy her notoriety while she refuses to tell anyone where that lovely little girl’s body has been dumped?
They loved this grandaughter, there is no doubt of that. She loved and trusted THEM. They owe it that child to stop supporting her killer and to help bring her home to a decent burial, which is owed to all humans. Especially the Innocents.
Evil comes in all shapes and sizes, but when it comes in the guise of a “loving” parent, that is the most Evil of All.
I wonder just how much power these grandparents really have to make their daughter confess to this crime. Maybe we are expecting too much from them since their “history” shows us they lost control over this “mother” a long time ago.
So, again… let them pay for their own protection. They started this circus, let them finish it.
I think they can xray it or something because when you bury someone like that it creates a hot spot that can be detected…

I think a dirt samle may have been taken from around the cement slab. The dirt would have to be dug out then framed out then add rebar and add the cement.
does anyone know if the dogs would be able to “hit” on the concrete pad that was poured if Caylee was under it? They say they can “hit” under water……just wondering how much training they can do with those dogs?

I believe it was cleared up that there was no concrete slab poured. It was concrete pavers. I believe it was in the Greta Van Susteren show when she was filming @ the Anthony’s inside the house and in the back yard.
I can’t remember where else, but I recall that the issue of slab vs. pavers was cleared up somewhere else.
cj, to everything you just said, it’s all very interesting and much food for thought…but one thing that lots of people disagree with me on “which is ok” i really don’t see M drugging caylee with illegal drugs since they are so expensive, i would believe perhaps benedryl or something like that

sabrina, I can’t see Casey using OTC drugs to make Caylee sleep, simply because the meds would be seen by Cindy at some point and questioned, because C is a nurse. Casey told LE that Caylee had never been sick a day in her life except for one short cold. Cindy would have noticed Cough or Cold meds in Caylee’s things I would think. I mean, if she was going through gathering dirty laundry of theirs to wash, then she would be one who would notice Cough meds and ask why.
I have wondered if C, being a nurse, would have on hand Xanax, or even be on Rx Xanax herself, and Casey getting them from her. But drugs like Xanax are not that expensive on the street. Probably 1/4 of one tablet would knock out a child of Caylee’s size.

I do remember a true crime novel that I read not too long ago, where the murderer abducted two girls and one was found eventually in his shed..the other he buried underneath a concrete pad he poured recently in his back yard. The weirdest thing about this true story was that the murderers father was already in jail doing time for a murder he committed years ago in the same fashion (buried under a concrete pad in the yard)…Like father like son..the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

But I do find interesting that when searchers were in the woods behind the Anthony’s house near the airport, Cindy was fit to be tied the whole time, yelling and coming outside to gripe about why were they looking there–why were they not out looking for a live Caylee–blah blah.
As soon as the searchers left that area, she shut up. She never cared about any other specific place that they searched for a body except behind their house.

Sabrina: you could be right on the benedryl theory vs. illegal drug. My grandaughter is almost 2 and has allergies so she takes benedryl at times. When I have to give it to her, 3/4 tsp (which is what her doctor recommended), it zonks her for about 3 hours. I would imagine a larger dose would knock her out even longer, so it’s possible. Ugghh…I just can’t imagine EVEN doing that!
I think they have enough evidence to convict monster on murder 1 or they wouldn’t risk double jepardy. There are 82 witnesses that are going to testify for the DA. plus the test results from the Body Farm air test and the DNA from Caylee’s hair decomposition, and the stain that shows the position of Caylee’s body in the trunk, then we have te=he chloroform, and the chloroform sites on monsters laptop.
These are the items we know about I’m sure there is more to come.

Many years ago where i live there was a married woman who’d dissappeared and they searched high and low for her, questioned her husband still living there (repeatedly) as they suspected him but had nothing to go on, they also never had cadaver dogs BUT like fifteen years later when new people moved to that house, they “discovered” a suitcase buried in the yard when they were landscaping..
inside that suitcase was the dead woman, all chopped into pieces, all that remained was her chopped bones that had been carefully stuffed into that small suitcase!!

But if you read some of the local Orlando news you’ll see there have been plenty of horrible crimes including murder that have taken place there in the past few months. I will check with a pathologist friend of mine at the lab…he has done autopsies and conducted some for murder investigations. I know that they can tell long term usage in the hair folicle, but I am not sure about extracting a specific amount to determine how much was given (as if in an overdose)…I am certain my doctor freind will know the answer to this.

NG showed tonight that the prosecution has 82 witness’ thus far and that C&G are on that list. NG didn’t mention L? or did I miss that part? So here’s my question, can a witness be for both the prosecution and defense or only a witness for one of the sides? I can not imagine what BB will use as a defense for monster. i know the state has to prove she murdered Caylee, but he does need to cross exaine the witnessess. All monsters friends are now on to her and believe she murdered Caylee, so I can’t seem them cooperating with BB. The DNA evidence from the FBI will come in, and he will try and put an O.J. The air test from the Body Farm will also be brought in and BB must dispute that the test is not accurate. The cadaver dogs alerts will also be disputed by BB, but Le was smat they brought in two cadaver dogs who hit on the same spots. We then have the famoous laptop, and monsters cell phones showing no calls to any Zenaida.

I lost my daughters father so suddenly and trgaically, I could not even cope for about 4 months, I can’t even remeber it all, its like a blur, because i was in such denial that he had died… its taken, GOD to pull me back, and my daughter of course, and a long road of getting out of it, its denial, and it gets in there so strong , itjust portects the mind from snapping… thats why i say i have compassion this maddening woman C and her comments and all she is doing and saying is her way of coping with the detah of caylee… in many months she will know it and let it go, it will be hard for her to do… i suspect we’ll still get mad at court at her and stuff she says, but to me my opnion is she just cant cope…M will never feel the way normal people do, so i cant say anything compasisonate for her.. i bet shes shaking in her shoes now about an imminent arrest and trial… but you know baez i am sure is coddling her and keeping her up so she can get through what is coming, thats what those defense lawyers do… but thanks for asking and for understanding too…

when her father died, i went into denial to such an extent that i would think crazy things like, he really didnt die, the FBI took him and hes undercover, and not really dead…
just crazy stuff like that ( I did read alot of books and later relaized many people coping with sudden death, do these things) like when someone dies and the phone rings and you think oh thats mom calling.. and then a split second later you go no mom is dead.. its all actually perfectly normal to feel such things… so i am saying C especially when i even hear her talking she just sounds to me like she is one grip of losing reality, just her voice

I have a nephew who is a major problem and his mother denied his problems even when I told her about him. After causing major chaos and costing them a ton of money she finally admits he is a mess. She once complained that his last breeding mare tried to stab him…then she said, “I can’t say the thought never crossed my mind.” Lol!

sabrina, yes i had that experience when mymom died, it too was the death of me nearly, and after 2 years one night i went to bed crying so hard, and when i woke up and stepped out of bed i felt this weird feeling cant even explain it but it was like something just left from my head to my feet after that morning i started working again and getting better… someone lifted all that pain and in lizzies fathers case this has almost been tougher , i gues sbecause when its the father of your child who you love soooooooooo much, you see her life unfolding without him and that nearly killed me too, but i have vowed to go on and make her life filled with happiness and not sadness that she sees in me cause then it would be a double tragedy… at 3 1/2 believe it or not she talks with him in spirit ( things she has done i cant explain, the talking and conversing with him, saying things out loud she could not possibly have remembered), and she’ll say look mama its daddy and i say where? and she says right there… so yah god moves in mysterious ways i believe M was abusing caylee every chance she got whether it be verbal or physcial, and god takes those children out, ( so to speak)… to remove them one way or the other…M will get the fullest punishment for this heinious crime

So many theories.. I can’t wait until m gets charged with murder and then the trial. Only then will we find out what LE pieced together and how close we all came to putting the pieces of the puzzle together ourselves. I think we are pretty close to the truth in our theories

CHSAH, You should go to Parisian’s or somewhere that sells Clinique and let them do a quick test on your skin and show you right there the difference. They will have you fill out a short questionaire about your skin and then choose the correct soap, moisturizer and toner. Then all the other things that go with your type skin can be purchased if you want them. I have it all, but it lasts forever. The facial soap cost me about $12 three years ago and it’s only half gone.
I can tell a world of difference in my complexion.

ok, well her father he was only 41… and they tell me he took his own life… ( we were split up at the time) now you see how this caused such denial in me… and still to this day…. very very painful… i didnt wanna write smoething so down but you asked and now i feel ok to even talk of it.. thanks for asking anyways. i am doing very well now considering what i went thru….its like you said this cas enot having the answers much like i never will either i suppose…but i pray for the answer for little caylee.. it would be a sin in itself for the world who fell in love with her.. tonot know where she is or WHO did this to her.. County Sheriff’s Office who released new information in their case to find
missing 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.
He also cleared up misconceptions with information released on the case.
In reference to reports of a concrete slab recently being poured in the
family’s backyard, Padilla says the information is incorrect. “There’s no
slab back there unless we’re blind bats,” he said.
He did confirm that there were square pavers down on the ground but no
concrete was poured. “Let’s say Caylee had been back there. The dogs would
have alerted us, ” Padilla said.

backyard and they have no plans on going back.

Casah….too young, but heart disease is very prevalent in my family…my Dad passed away at 47, his brother at 35 and now my brother and I both have had heart attacks and we’re both in our 50’s so I guess we’re the fortunate ones. Are you doing OK with the CHF?

My husband is quite a few years older than I am, so he had a rough time, but we had a nurse come to our home for 3 months, and now he is as good as new.
OK, if C & G are witnesses, then they can’t be in the courtroom except when they testify. So they wouldn’t hear any DNA evidence or anything.

He felt sooooo good as well after his open heart surgery (his was an 8hr. surgery for valves) and then 2 months later, Bam! He was deathly ill again…but he’s doing OK now….Glad your husband is as well….you know, once they get new “plumbing” they’re ready to go again!

Right Gumshoe, they will be cross examined…but it won’t be pretty I don’t think…just imagine the monster staring them down while they are on the witness stand and the prosecutor says “now Mr. Anthony, didn’t you imply to the owner of the impound lot that you were fearful that the bag of trash in the trunk could be the body of your granddaughter?”
Both defense and prosecution will have a hard time questining Cindy. You have to answer with yes or no unless otherwise specified. Cindy cannot do that. Even at the bond hearing when asked how long Zanny had been keeping Caylee Cindy said a year and a half. And the prosecutor said “Well you never MET her so..” and Cindy butted in and said “There was never a reason for me to meet her”
Casey, Cindy and Lee all answer questions before they are finished beiong asked and they all offer way more details than is asked for.

Well there is not much on her online. She went to the law school in N.Y. and has been prosecuting child abuse, homicide cases for several years. She is about 40 years old, blonde. pretty and an avid runner. Her track record out weighs BB’s for cases won. I think they might have removed a lot of info on her when she took thhis case.

My first gut feeling was that she was in water or near it. I even contacted LE and said so. The next day they were searching that first lake. Whether they listened to me or were already going to is another thing.
The reason I thought water to begn with (I mean the first week) is because mothers who kill their children very often drown them or trhow them in water. It is a psycological thing of “returning them back to the womb”
Andrea Yates drowned her 5 children. Susan Smith drowned her 2 children. And many more.

Pammyliz…it was a video on one of the local fla. tv stations website…wftv I belive…and there was a new guy that was walking her in/out of BB’s office - real tall guy driving a red p/u truck….never have seen him before but yea…she was struttin’ it big time!

Since he said that, I have pictured her in a drainage ditch/pipe and beiong washed by the waters to several places.
I am not queezy about the alligator theory, but I just don’t think that’s what happened. She’s have to be pretty brave to tread through swampy ground carrying a heavy load and watching for alligators that could just as well attack her. I don’t think she is brave at all. I think she is a pasty faced lizzard of a coward and would do the quickest, cleanest, easiest disposal she could do.

Yes, Casey can plead guilty at any time but the prosecutor won’t accept the guilty plea unless she took them to the body because they want closure.
Like any other good sociopath, Casey will never plead guilty unless there is something in it for her. If it looks like she is going to get the death penalty, she may plead guilty to get life in prison.
My guess is Baez will have her plead innocent and go for reasonable doubt. Neither Baez or Casey want to give up the limelight so they will probably star in this drama until the judge asks the jury for the verdict.
After listening to Cindy’s interrogation, I think she is going to be Baez’s star witness. I believe he will change the defense to Zanny the Nanny did it to Jesse the controlling abusive ex fiancee did it.
Cindy threw the nanny theory under the bus when she said even she didn’t believe Zenaida Gonzalez existed and that she believed Jesse was Zanny and Casey was afraid of Jesse.
All evidence shows Casey made Zenaida up so Baez will say she made up the nanny because Jesse was threatening her. Now Casey will be portrayed as a battered woman.
CaC - Your post above made me shudder. To even think of having m portrayed as any kind of a victim nevermind a battered woman is sickening and very hurtful to women who have been battered. But you’re right it could happen.
My only hope is - How would BB bring that up at trial? Thru testimony from Cindy? If so then she’s on the stand and the prosecutors can tear her to shreds. She’s lied, changed her stories, fooled with evidence etc. Plus she’s the mother of the accused. So I would hope that no juror would believe a word she said.
And I think it would be far too dangerous for BB to put m on the stand. I’ll bet she’d want to testify - be the star! But he wouldn’t dare let her would he?
Gunshoe, the prosecutor and Baez would also have to agree on an appropriate sentence. The prosecutor would want life and Baez would want probation.
Baez wouldn’t accept the limited immunity to give up the body so she won’t ever tell where the body is so there will be no plea bargain.
Mytwocents, I think Baez only witnesses will be Cindy, George and Lee. Everybody else thinks she is guilty. All three of them have made damaging comments to the investigators about Casey so he has no perfect witnesses. His only hope is her friends will still say they think it was an accident and the jury will find her guilty of negligent homicide instead of first degree murder.
CaC- if we really let our imaginations run wild we might be able to envision a situation where near the end of a trial it looks really bad for m and BB talks with prosecutors to get a sentence reduction. For example, 10 - 15 with a chance for parole IF she tells where body is vs 15 - 20 without chance of parole.
I’m totally imagining this but maybe that could make her tell the truth. Only something very much in her own interests will do it.
CaC your post at 7:45 is right. Unless LE can prove the presence of chloroform in the child’s hair or something. Then in a way it could still have been an “accident” (overdosing her with chloroform) but to me that would still be murder.
Do you know if she will be offered bail again if she’s arrested for murder? In some places the person has to stay in jail thru the trial.
It will really be disgusting to see her finally arrested for it and then strut right out the door again thanks to some “Batman” style nefarious, rich and evil character.
Mytwocents, it’s anybody’s guess how the prosecutor is going to play it. It depends on what charge the prosecutor believes will stick given the fact they have no body, no weapon, no crime scene and no witnesses.
To get a murder one conviction, the state has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Caylee is dead, that was her body was in the trunk and Casey deliberately murdered her.
That might be tough to do. If she plead guilty to a lesser charge and gave up the body, I believe they would bargain but I don’t know how many years they would accept.
They want to make sure she doesn’t walk or get a light sentence in case she deliberately planned and executed her innocent toddler. That is a heinous crime punishable by death.
My guess is if they go for first degree or capital murder, there may not be any bail under Florida statute. If they go for a lesser charge, Florida statutes may provide for bail.
Since protesters and media are camped out at her house and she’s wearing an electronic ankle monitor, the court doesn’t see her as a flight risk.
There is always some sucker out there who wants to throw money the Anthonys way so she may make bail and be living with mommy and daddy until the trial.
CaC - so possibly another year of M at home? To the tune of $4,000 per week/ $16,000 per month protection at all of Orlando’s expense???

Also I think it’s the height of hypocrisy if she goes to the church for the vigils. The very first time she bonded out she got permission from her home confinement manager to go to church but never did. I’m afraid that she will go to the church now because no one will dare leave her at home alone (or even with a security guard - bet she’d LOVE that!)
Surely there will be a separate trial - and hopefully soon - on the economic charges?

Elle, I agree. That’s a prescription medication and probably costly especially if illegally obtained. All M would need is an over the counter med like Benadryl or something to get Caylee to sleep or at least be groggy and more controllable. Can’t see M using zanax either since it’s a downer, right? Something to calm down people with anxieties? I’d think M would be more into uppers for herself.
Elle read up on Xanax, it does put you to sleep, Many people kill their selves because they take them with Alcohol, Xanax also makes you not care, And is used to help people deal with emotional problems…
Xanax is also one of the most Addicted Drugs on the market…
They should check to see if she had Medical Ins. And if she does check and see if she had filled any scripts on it They may have paid a portion of the script…
Linda, I’ve been wondering all along about Caylee’s health care. If m was supposed to be employed then C would assume that Caylee was covered by M’s insurance. But since we know that M was not employed would she or Caylee even have insurance? Maybe C somehow covered the child?
But yes. I think C’s health insurance and M’s (if she had any) should be checked.
Also, “annie” could be just as good a nickname for zanax as “zanni.” Just throwing that out there.

Caylee Anthony’s Prayer vigil moved to a church
Mandi….yes I’m doing ok with the CHF. Take 5 different med’s for it, but they seem to be helping. Ejection Fraction is the percentage of blood flow pumping thru your heart. Normal is 55-70%. Last december mine was 17%, today it is 48%……so getting close. thank you for asking. Has nothing to do with this case…but thought I’d answer you since I just got on this blog.
