It is interesting to read how some of the activities associated with 'Ostalgie' are described as 'self-help' and i would venture that perhaps they could further be termed as 'theraputic resources'. Both terms however, suggest that this is a reaction to some sort of trauma or malaise and i'm just wondering if this is actually the case. I noticed, some time ago that there were DDR-themed parties and weekends taking place, apart from the recent television programmes dedicated to the same. Can anyone tell me if these still take place? I would like to see who goes to these events and why.
