Gibson was not attempting to find out what Palin knows or thinks, he was trying to put her on the spot. As for Palin, I believe she understands more than is revealed in this interview. being interviewed demands a different set of skills, which it takes practice to learn. If an interviewer truly wanted to elicit Palin's views or her background, he could do it. Palin will master the tricks, however. I agree with your take on the Gibson interview. Are you kidding? This is a woman who could be in a position of helping to lead our nation - should her parties ticket make it into office. And, if that happened, God forbid something would happen to McCain, because she would then be expected to take over the leadership of this entire country. A scary thought! If she can't answer a few questions about what the current President stands for (who is from her own party) - then how could she honestly be expected to converse intelligently with international leaders? And her comments about having foreign policy experience because she could see Russia from Alaska. Amazing!
