Watch the video yourself and read the links from different sources about what the church and pastor are about. Obama had his pastor problem and now Palin does. But while the above quote about Obama's pastor's theological influences argues that Black people should reject a God that rejects Black people (which really makes sense to me if you're a Black person) Palin's church and guest pastors believe in using violence to drive out demons. And cities and countries that don't comply with driving out demons should be destroyed.

Kind of a big difference.

Did McCain make any attempt to vet her before choosing here?

If she ends up becoming your President, Iran and North Korea will certainly be in danger of losing the crown of "Worlds Nuttiest Head of State".

The BIG difference between Palin's church and Obama's church. Palin's says God Bless America and Obama's says God Damn America.

Dr James Cone's Description of BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY, from his book "BLACK POWER AND BLACK THEOLOGY", used as the basis for the vision statement of Obama's Church, Trinity United: "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. . . . Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."

Among the Obama's charitable donations in 2007 was the generous amount of $26,270 to Trinity United Church of Christ.

Many pastors and preachers believe they are in battle against the forces of evil. This, my friend, is a basic Christian ideology. I would much prefer the rantings of a pastor with seemingly kooky ideas about conquering evil than those of a pastor who preaches hate against white people and America in general. (Oh, and by the way...I am not white.) If Palin wrote a personal manifesto with a title that came directly from her pastor's sermons, then perhaps you could consider him a personal counselor. Oh, that's what Obama did!

I agree with you completely regarding your final paragraph. This is just another drop in the glass of voting against McCain. The more we the public find out about Palin and her extremist views the more the curtain in front of Mccain is pulled back. He is abviously being lead by his party. He was forced into picking Palin, it is well documented he wanted others for VP. The erratic, impulsive statements he has been making regarding the economy, the conversation regarding the leader of spain, the temper, then reserve, the poor man is being lead by the Republican party, he is a former maverick, he is the next Bush because that is what the republican want someone to push their agenda.

Audio of two sermons given by Bishop Muthee are available at the KingsGate Church website…

http://www.kingsgateuk.com/Articles/3516/Kingsgate_Community_Church/Resources/Teaching/Download_Sunday_Messages.aspx

At about 23:45 of Service 1, Mr. Muthee declares that the more "violent" believers become the quicker they will see things happen in their communities...

"The violent take it by force. People that have spiritual backbones are the ones that are going to advance. They are the ones that will move forward. I thank God for what I see happening in this place. I thank God for the vision, the passion that I can see here. And my word is this: the more violent you become, the more committed you become, the quicker you will see things happen in this region." - Bishop Muthee

At about 16:30 of Service 2, Mr. Muthee recounts meeting a woman who told him that her prayers resurrected a dead child brought to some sort of prayer meeting in Bolivia. Muthee professes his faith in the woman's account and declares that he longs for such meetings.

Weird stuff.
