I had donated 4,600., so I was automatically sent a check for 2,300. This was not done out of a preference for big donors. It was simply done following the same rules that all the other candidates who dropped out of the race followed. Smaller donors were not less valued by Edwards. Their donations were not returned because they did not exceed the 2,300. The only exception was for small donations that were designated on the check as being for the General Election. Those were returned, according to the rules. You are making this into a conspiracy, and there isn't one. All the other candidates handled their General Election refunds in the exact same way as Edwards.
