Jesus was not a community organizer. Jesus did not represent anyone to the local government and he did not act on behalf of the local government. I am tired of Biblically illiterate people injecting their $1.98 theology in to politics. As a recent graduate of RHEMA Bible Training Center majoring in Pastoral Ministry, as one who soon plans on chaplain work in hospice, and as a long time Christian I find these crazy analogies offensive. Amin George Forji wrote "Jesus worked for the ordinary folks, who were disregarded by their leaders. He lived their lives and went through their hardships, organizing their communities towards hope." That's some generalized nonsense. In His earthly life Jesus worked for and represented God the Father. See John 5:19-20 5:30 5:36 5:43 6:27 6:38 7:28-29 8:42 14:10 14:24 and plenty of other places inscripture allude to this. Hebrews 9:11-12 illustrates how in His resurrection He represented humanity in the Heavenly Holy of Holies, sprinkling His own blood the mercy seat as atonement for sin. On this earth, Jesus ministered to the needs of people through healing and teaching. At no time was the local government involved with His works. They were against Him. Regarding Amin George Forji, I wonder what his credentials are for offering a scriptural opinion on anything? There are no similarities between Jesus and Obama or Jesus and any man for that matter. There is also no similarity between Pilate and Palin beyond the simple term "governor". What Obama did do was refer to Romans 1:26-27 as an "obscure passage", when defending civil unions between homosexuals. Hmmm. I never knew there were "obscure passages in scripture. In 2nd Timothy 3:16 Paul states “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” In the very next sentence Obama then said "I believe what Jesus said on the Olivet discourse" After looking at Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, I was unable to find anything in those passages referring to the subject. My point here is to leave Jesus out of this campaign. My speculation on Obama...and I stress the word speculation here is only for those of you who have any background in eschatology. Read Daniel 7:7-11. Note the 10 horns. 3 horns lay down and 7 remain standing. This represents 10 kings ruling at the rise of the AntiChrist. The 3 that lay down do so because they are killed and their nations are taken by force. The other 7 hand their nations over willingly. I believe it is possible that Barak Obama could be one of the 7 kings. Looking at the alignments of Iran, Russia, Syria, Pakistan against Israel, alongside Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. while looking at Israel becoming a nation - Jerimiah 30:3, Isaiah 11:11. Recapturing of Jerusalem in the 6 day war of 1967 Zechariah 8:2-8 and a vast host of other recently fulfilled scriptures make it clear that this is happening.
