Germany always had a benevolent king to take care of the peasants. Obama’s benevolent promise of a nice government to care for Americans and talk nice to our enemies resonates with the now pacifistic Germans, who can’t even allow their soldiers to shoot back at the Taliban.

In contrast, a lot of us or our families came to America because we didn’t want a nice king or clan leader to care for us. We are the stubborn ones who want to make our own way in the world. We are the rejects and the lower middle class who in Germany would be limited to vocational training, not college, and in the Philippines would never be allowed to become rich because a small number of families run the economy.

And that’s why a self made woman like Palin, who came from nowhere and now runs a state, is admired. It is the same reason that Bill Clinton, a hick from Arkansas was admired.

Obama lacks the common touch,and doesn’t seem to understaqnd this. He makes gaffes (example: argula) that imply he never had to face balancing a budget or making sure your kids’ school is good. His wife is much more down to earth, but so bitter at the racism of the establishment she isn’t an asset. But he can talk pretty, and so is loved by the elites who think they can tell Americans what to do.

Well, if we Americans wanted to obey the elites, we would have stayed in the old country…
