I thought it was well researched up to and until the point where deep military secrets were discussed, seemingly as a matter of course. I, too, am former military and also felt my eyes narrow as I read those pages. It did not, and would not, happen at that level of security. Four stars. I was not looking for flaws I simply read it for the history and the love story. It semed eloquent and airy. Made me want to go there actually...breathe the air, see the countryside, find the village. I give it 5 stars I loved this book.
