The cops have been ubiquitous throughout the downtown area all week. This would probably have been a good time to make trouble somewhere else in Denver.
Mostly their attitude was friendly. (Of course it helped that I’m walking around with a press badge.) But I didn’t see any harassment of the street activists, either. Many of them stood around on call and available for deployment, which undoubtedly had a deterring effect on some of the radicals.
And there were, of course, motorcycle cops.
