I didn't see any backhanded criticism of Obama there at all - he stated in no uncertain terms was Obama was the right and good choice, and why McCain was the well-meaning but terrible mistake. Do people who spend as much of their lives in Washington as McCain has ever jump from the Senate to the presidency successfully? The best president with experience similar to Obama was Lincoln, and then Madison. The best president with experience similar to McCain was...maybe Ford? He really nailed it.
