A 69 year old Delaware man named Russell Teeter has been sentenced to an unusual sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of indecent exposure after being arrested for exposing himself to a 10 year old girl while working at the gardening nursery he runs with his wife. After being sentenced to 60 days in jail by Superior Court Judge Jan Jurden, Deputy Attorney General Donald Roberts was also granted the additional sentence of forcing Teeter to wear a shirt that boldly says ‘I am a registered sex offender’ while at work for the following 22 months after he is released from prison.

“This is a unique way to let his customers know that he is a sex offender,” said Roberts about the unusual sentence. He came to the decision to ask for the unusual sentence after reviewing Teeter’s record which includes over 10 convictions for exposing himself to minors that date all the way back to 1976. He is also diagnosed to be a compulsive exhibitionist. Teeter has 30 days to appeal his sentence.
