[note: The story about the foot beatings is true, not a part of the jocularity of this article. A pox on both houses for these two slurs.] Your question turns out to be prophetic. In a late breaking story it was just announced that Bigfoot has been discovered to be soft on the abortion issue (he won't declare his beliefs one way or the other)and has been dropped from the McCain ticket!
