Like hookers to a political convention, the rather sleazy Bail Bondsman have come fluttering around the light the same way moths do. Head moth in this case is Leonard Padilla. I have a theory, in high profile cases you get the worst of the worst. That certainly seems the case here.
I am doubtful that Padilla is doing this for free. He may not be charging the family directly, but you can bet he is charging someone. While Leonard Padilla may boast a slightly larger balance in his bank account than I do, I am sure he doesn’t have $500k to throw around.
So whats the angle? So why do this? Well it obviously involves money. You can bet your bottom dollar that there is either a book or movie deal in the works.
Apparently Padilla and his Padilletes have taken up residence in a large camper outside the house that Pizza loving Casey Anthony is currently staying at. But Padilla insists that he can crack this case. I Find it interesting that he has gone from the hard nosed Bail Bondsman ‘we can get the truth out of her in five days’ to the wussy ‘She needs a few days with her family’.
In my opinion Padilla has the same credibility as Casey. Neither of them seem to give a damn about the poor three year old Caylee, that this whole deal is about.
Having ’sprung’ the most probable suspect from the clutches of the law, Padilla has created a great opportunity for the family to ‘get their act together’. I have no doubt that now Casey has had some time with her family, they all have the story straight.
Justice is a strange beast.
There are so many unanswered questions, questions that may never get resolved, because some media seeking idiot wants his 15 minutes of fame. We don’t know where three year old Caylee is, we don’t know if she is alive or dead, But we do know where the prime suspect is, and her media seeking buddies. I guess we should take comfort in this.
No doubt once this piece of idiocy has run its course Mr Padilla will be in search of Bigfoot! (I have the email addy). What is missing in this entire scenario is a 3 year old named Caylee. I may have not been the best parent in the world, but I am sure I would not wait a month to report that my child was missing.
The only question in my mind is, who is being scammed? Of course Mr Padilla has not returned my invites to an interview.

These guys are professional bounty hunters and I’d say they are probably her best bet for tracking and rescuing Caylee. It is obvious whoever has her has no intention of ever returning her, and if she is no longer on this earth then this is another nail in Casey’s coffin.
I believe you are 100% correct Mr. Barret. They say she has a compelling reason why she did all this. Yeah lies are usually compelling. She is a real piece of work. And this bail bondsman and his security team are all lying about not making any money. Notice anytime they are asked about it they change the subject and carefully word that they are doing this because it needs to be done. And the 50,000 that padilla is putting up he says he’s not getting back rather that his nephew is. Damn you can’t get a straight answer out of any of these people.

My burning question is: Casey has been pegged by her own mother, as well as the media and psycologists on TV, as one who will lie and take the lie all the way to the last brick wall where she finally has to tell the truth. (”OK, I haven’t worked here in many years” type drama) So, knowing this is her M.O., how LONG are Mr. Padilla X 2 prepared to STAY at the Anthony house? Of course someone is funding them! Who else can afford to stay indefinitely until Casey is at the next brick wall? Did they forget she has taken her lies already 2 1/2 months down the path? Are they prepared to stay for 6 months while they feed her all the pizza she can eat and let her take long luxurious showers? Or sleep half the day away because she is bored? This is so obviously a publicity stunt/future TV show/movie deal. The older Mr. Padilla is so full of hot air, no wonder he zeroed in on Casey. He IDENTIFIES with her.
I’m no expert, so I’m not going to pretend to know what should or should not take place to get the truth out of Casey. But I have a daughter and 3 grandchildren. In the first place I would know if one of my grandchildren were missing for one day. However, I realize that all families are not like mine. But I guarantee you, if my daughter came and told me that my granddaughter had been missing for 31 days and she hadn’t reported it because she was looking for her herself!, and it happened while she was driving MY car and running up charges on MY credit card, THERE WOULD BE NO “SWEETHEART” SPRINKLED ALL IN MY CONVERSATION TO HER! I have seen a lot of dysfunctional families, but I have never seen one where everyone lies while one minute cursing and the next minute calling each oither honey and sweetheart and darling. What family has a missing child and talks around it like “oh, it’s ok. I know you didn’t MEAN to lose her. You aren’t a bad mother. Here, let me and daddy find her. Brubby will help. But can you just tell us a little bit of what happened? If you can’t, it’s probably because she is in danger, right?”
Dear God, lead someone to Caylee Marie Anthony without the “help” of the woman to whom you entrusted her.
I’m so sick and tired of hearing about Casey. I want to know what they are doing to find Caylee. Casey along with her bounty hunter friends are getting national tv coverage while Caylee is either dead or somewhere scared away from the people who say they love her. It makes me sick to think what that little girl has gone through. Again.. give us facts on Caylee and let Casey burn in hell as far as I’m concerned. I trust nothing that comes out of her mouth.

How, when and where did Casey locate this babysitter? Did anyone other than Casey use the services of this babysitter? Did anyone (friends, family, neighbors, etc.) other than Casey know or ever meet this babysitter?
There is no babysitter. Casey made up the babysitter just like she made up the job. She told her parents, boyfriend and friends she was working at Universal studios. She hadn’t been working there for two years. She wasn’t working. She made up the job and the babysitter.
Leonard is there filming a reality show on National Geographics. He is not guarding her and did not use his money to bail her out. National Geographics or whoever produces his show paid the money.
Leonard is hanging around in case he hears something and can find the body. He knows she’s dead. He wants to be the big hero and be a big star. It’s all about him. He could care less about Caylee.
All this nonsense he is spewing about believing Caylee is alive and someone is going to turn her into a drug store for the reward money is just to get Casey and the family to allow him to hang around.
Leonard says he will disappear as soon as the DNA evidence comes in and she is arrested for murder. He knows that will be sooner or later. Meanwhile, he is a national TV star talking smack about something he knows nothing about.
Enough of L.Padilla.
Seems LP did not know the facts before he came to Florida. He appeared on tv constantly in big black hat and toothpick in the mouth.
Seems he could not remember Caylee’s name as he kept referring to her as “the baby.” Did not seem to have a clue about all the lies mother Casey told, and continues to babble the same nonsense. Bounty Hunters bring in the bad guys, not spring them. Florida Bail Bondsman are far wiser than you are, Mr. Padilla. Could be they followed the case from the beginning and decided early on they did not want to take the risk.
As someone who handled one of the largest notoriety cases to be released from custody, I have to laugh at the way the matter is being handled.
Geraldo, on tape, displayed the interior of the motor home, touting “high tech equipment.”
There was a laptop computer, a printer and a taser on the table….high tech my arse!!!!!!
Where are the cameras and monitors, the night vision equipment, the radios and the command center for the group of bumbling bounty hunters?
What we saw was one PI in the trailer, another unknown person, the bailbonds man and Leonard Padilla, the bounty hunter. The boyz were in the trailer, while the female operative was with Casey…what a joke…
This is just toooooooo funny….perhaps someone should call the Florida authorities and ask if bounty hunters and PIs can legally do security work without a license….if a bounty hunter can interview for a criminal matter, as PIs do, if bail bondsmen can do PI work and security work……

So why take up a case in Florida when he’s so successful as a bounty hunter and running for mayor of Sacramento? Why would he abandon everything to bail this woman out? It’s obvious - publicity. Take a look at his website as a Bounty Hunter. He’s positioning himself to become “The Bounty Hunter” successor. The mother isn’t a flight risk - he’s going to camp out in front of her home and protect his investment. If he really cared he’d be out there searching for that little girl - he didn’t have to bail out the mother. If he’s so good at tracking, get to tracking, right? No matter the outcome he’s put up a $500K loan to get a lot of free publicity. He’s a parasite. I’ll gladly eat my words if he is personally responsible for finding that little girl alive.
I see nothing wrong with Leonard Padilla and what he is doing…….but I do see a lot of your posts

Barry-everyone is entitled to they’re own opinion,but how can you possibly believe that Mr.Padilla is doing this for Caylee?If he wanted to do something for that darling little girl,he should have left her mother rotting in her cell where she belongs.The only way that woman should have gotten out of jail was if she started telling the truth about where Caylee is.My bet is nothing will come out of Casey Anthony being let out of prison except her own comforts that should still be denied.

Whenever you mention Leonard Padilla, someone should remember that he served a year in Lompoc Federal Prison for massive tax evasion and was fined $493,000.
He is also great pals with former FBI Special Agent in Charge Jack Trimarco to whom he “lent” $30,000 in 1985.
