The Bounty Hunter, Leonard Padilla and his nephew Tony Padilla flew to Orlando to bail Casey Anthony, mother of Caylee Anthony out of jail.
As everyone knows, I am sure, Caylee has been missing since mid June and wasn’t reported missing until a month later and now her mother, Casey is in jail, being charged with child neglect and lying to the police. The 22 year old mother is considered a “person of interest” in the disappearance of her daughter. Casey has been described by many of her friends over the past few weeks as a habitual liar. She claims that she left Caylee with a babysitter and she thinks the babysitter has her now but the police have said that they doubt this story.
Tony Padilla, the bail bondsman expected to have Casey free by dinnertime Tuesday but a came up with a problem with the paperwork causing a delay, according to myfoxorlando.com. Tony Padilla says now Casey probably won’t see the light of day now until Wednesday.
There has been rumors going around that Padilla plans to shoot an episode for his reality TV show, called “The Bounty Hunter” which airs on The National Geographic Channel. Some seem to think he has gotten involved in this case to get material for his show. He denies that of course saying he is only concerned about finding Caylee and bringing her home. “I feel that there is some humanity in that woman that would not allow her to kill that cute little girl,” Leonard Padilla said. “I’ve just got to believe that.”
Padilla says he isn’t worried about Casey trying to escape. “We’re not letting her out of our sight,” he said. Padilla and a team of people will reportedly guard Casey 24/7. Details of how they are going to do this are being worked out with Casey’s attorney, Jose Baez.
“There is a reward out there; I’m not interested in the reward. My only interest…is to get that child back,” Padilla said on Sunday.
He also said he thinks Casey will trust him, because of his experience in dealing with similar situations over the past 33 years. “I don’t think the baby’s dead. I think the baby is alive and I think we can find her,” he added.
Padilla admitted that he has had IRS problems over hundreds of thousands of dollars. According to wftv.com it says on his website that he spent a year in federal prison because of his IRS problems. Channel 9 asked him what he would do if Casey Anthony said things that would incriminate her in the disappearance of her daughter. “Find the body, call the police, don’t touch the scene,” Padilla replied.

Padilla says there is a glitch and has to be a hearing before the securities insurance company before his nephew can post the bond. Doubt if that can be done Wednesday and Thursday is her arraignment when the prosecuting attorney can file more charges.
I hope the DNA tests are back and they charge her with first degree murder on Thursday at the arraignment. If they do, there will be another bond and Padilla said he can only afford the $50,000 for this bond.
I predict Padilla will go back to California without even talking to Casey and that Casey will remain in jail. He may be expecting this and the interviews with the news media may be enough for his reality show. He calls himself a media whore and I guess that’s why he did this little publicity stint.
I don’t believe he believes a word that comes out of his mouth. A bounty hunter thinks the worst of people, not the best. He believes she murdered that little girl, and he knows she is not going to cop to it. He knows a criminal when he sees one and Casey’s refusing to talk to the cops is typical of criminals who have a crime to hide and think they can get away with it. I hope she does not get away with it.
We need justice for poor little Caylee who did not deserve what happened to her whatever it was.
Leonard did not say there had to be a hearing before the bail could be posted.
He said the DOI in Texas who holds the Padilla licenses has to make a determination on whatever it is that Miami Bonds is trying to pitch about interstate bonds being paid to both agencies.
This can be done in an hour or less. It’s a peer review hearing, not a court hearing.
I happen to know Leonard Padilla. He’s been practicing his trade for at least 30 years and is not stupid. He is VERY qualified to interogate/interview Casey. I agree that she is more apt to spill her guts to him than she is to a jailer/cop/judge/attorney. Or even to her own mother.
She has several borderline personality disorders that Leonard is extremely experienced with.

However it turns out, let’s just all pray Caylee is alive and well somewhere.

Wow, I really don’t understand how anyone could hurt this adorable child; however, I truely think that it is the only conclusion to draw with these weird turn of events. I do not agree with Roma though. A bounty hunter may be able to con someone into talking; however, does he actually know the laws that pertain to a confession? This is very important that everyone go by the book, because if something is done illegally then it could be a domino effect that would cause all evidence that is found because of a tainted confession inadmissable. Isn’t that right? I don’t know that for a fact, but that is what I understand by some of the attorneys that have been talking about this bounty hunter. If this is the case, I would rather the bounty hunter leave it to the professionals who will have to see things through till the end. The bounty hunter could turn her back over and doesn’t have to worry about any mess that he has made, because it is not his job to do what he is doing.

Well considering her hearing with is Thursday I think it would be hilarious for her to be bailed out today and then returned to jail tomorrow on new charges because the DNA evidence is released.

Just read that Padilla enlisted the FBI to follow up on death threats he received. Some of the lesser threats came to him from competing companies who state that if he doesn’t follow everything “by the book” , they will be certain he is thrown in jail himself. HOORAY!

I heard the BH interviewed today, and now he’s saying he will NOT be at the Anthony home. Says instead that a female who works for him will be there around the clock.

Concerned, that’s a good question. First of all, I don’t think Casey will EVER admit to what she’s done and if they ever find Caylee’s body Casey will go to her grave (or hopefully the electric chair) saying the nannie did it.
I think Cindy was so close to Caylee that if she knew for sure that Casey killed her she would crackup. But, again… she would continue to believe Casey story that the nannie did it, if they ever did find Caylee’s body. I think from a political angle, they will allow the bond to be placed. After all 500g’s is alot of money for a state to receive for bond. Probably doesn’t happen that often. I think they will play is shrewdly, accept the money then come up with whatever they have to charge her. The bottom line is always the bottom dollar from a political perspective.

Honestly, I think the entire Anthony family now knows that Caylee isn’t coming home but they will cover for Casey til the bitter end….just like Scott Peterson’s family…you know the apple (or in this case the nut) doesn’t fall far from the tree and if we find out tomorrow that Cindy is heavily involved it wouldn’t surprise me a bit…not in harming Caylee, no, but in the cover-up.

Yes, their still being recorded but it’s not being released. Casey has stopped making phone calls so they are recording the jail house visits but the police decided not to release them to the public. Usually when there is something helpful said for the police they will keep the recordings private.

Not for nothing but who in their right mind thinks that rotting pizza and a dead body are on in the same?!?!?! That is the most outrageous thing I’ve heard yet. I did hear George say that on the day he saw the gas cans in the trunk he asked Casey when they were coming home and where was Caylee. Casey said that Caylee was with the nanny and they would either be coming home tomorrow morning or the day after that. (which was a lie because she didn’t.) She also told George that she just dropped in to pick up some clothes and she had to get back to work.

FOX 35 just learned Casey Anthony’s bail should be posted sometime in the next three hours. That could mean between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. If it is set early enough, Casey could be released from the Orange County Jail today

hey Catherine according what I read from hte Orlalndo Booking and releas website an inmate can be bonded out and release at anytime. The 3:00 clock deadline is for expedited bonds only.

If she killed Caylee at the house there would be no need to put her in the car seat. She would just back her car up to the garage and put her in the trunk. Then Casey started a fire with the gasoline she stole from her father’s shed, and got rid of the car seat and Caylee’s belongings. I don’t think she would bury Caylee at the same place where she burned Caylee’s things.

It could be a case of, yet again, conflicting reports with this case. If there really is a carseat then maybe it has some sort of evidence that the police aren’t releasing yet…I dunno but it is something to think about provided that it really was located in the car.
Catherine that sounds more logical than anything else. But, I think she would bury everything in the same place… why take a chance on being caught at two places, plus it just gives people more of a chance to find one.
If she feels that she found the perfect spot that no one else would she would feel pretty confident that she would never be found out.

As shameful as this sounds, I lost my little girl when she was three in Macy’s. I was almost screaming her name and running around the isles like a mad woman. I was crying and panic stricken that someone took her and ran out the door. But, we found her safe and sound.
Yeah but you know what kills me…when you hear the conversations with her and her brother I swear it’s like when you’re talking to your friends…..it’s almost like you expect her to say, ’so when are we hanging out tonight”. I’m sorry but to hear her…she does not sound in the least bit like a concerned or distraught mother. Oh sure, she’s concerned alright…about herself…her image….how the media and public perceive her…but in no way is she worried about the fate of her daughter and that my friends, is her greatest portait of guilt.

Remember when she was talking to her mom on the phone and her mom backed her in to a corner… Casey jumped at saying “Get Lee, I don’t want to talk to you right now.” And her mother did as she was told. If that was my daughter I would have said too bad…you’re going to talk to me anyway. And then let her waste her 10minute call that she’s allowed. But, she was the boss of the family… the pretty one who they all bowed down to, thus creating a monster.

you’re right… and she never asked about Caylee. If her brother, mother or friend didn’t mention Caylee’s name Casey would have never spoken about Caylee. How can anyone ever think for a moment someone like that is not guilty. I did detect in her brother’s voice however one time when she called and was super happy… it sounded like he was shocked to hear her that way. Just something in his voice displayed that shocking emotion.

Hi guys…well 3pm Florida time has come & gone and she’s not out yet! I think the good ole boys in Florida figured out a way to shut him (Padilla) down and shut him up and teach him a lesson….
The Anthony family is too quiet. We all know Cindy can’t keep her trap shut so something is brewing.
In the end, during the trail I can just see all of the snipits and inconsistencies from Cindy being played out in Court and those will be what helps slam the slammer door on Casey…maybe we should give her a hug!

Well if they are going to release any new eveidence in the case they have do it before the arraignment . They can’t just show up at the arraignment a with new charges bedause they have let Casey and her attorney about them before the cam charge since she has already intered a plea on the current ones they just can add on to them .

Legally(and you can check the laws). The defendent(CAsey) and her lawyer(baez have to be notified in ordeer to officially charge especially if she has already gave a plea.
If someone plead guilty to child neglect you can not legally add murder or homicide to it atleast not without letting them know you are going to.

You can’t bring new charges to an arraingment. And if they can and do and Baez knew I don’t think he would still be going through all this effort to get her out just to have her put right back in, He’s not that stupid.

He might get his money back but she will stay in jail she might get out tomorrow but if they have more chargers she is going straight back to jail untill another bond is set
LE cannot just do whatever they want and not follow the written laws. in order for them to charge her on new charge they would have to let her out and then file the new charges, have her put back in and set up a new arraignment on the newer charges.

Take for instance the phone line that needs to be installed for the ankle monitor. What is to stop them from getting in cahoots with the installers and making the family believe there is a waiting list of installs? It could be a couple weeks before the lines put in. You just don’t know who knows who, or what connections people have and favors owed to them.

LE could of still put out an amber alert.
The guidlines cleary state that it would have to be immediately or it will not be effective to apprehend a suspect and recover the child. I would think it would be futile to put it out after a month when the child went missing. Also given all the other evidence in this case. It is a huge endeavor to do so and too much time passed without knowing that she “TRULY” had been abducted.

There is still a good chance that Casey will not pass the evaluation test tomorrow. They can keep her in jail if the Psychiatrist deems her dangerous to herself… so we still have a shred of hope left that she will stay in jail. Very little hope but there is a shred.
There was speculation that Jesus Ortiz may be Caylee father. Don’t know if the people I mentioned above are related to Jesus but it warrants looking into. Vincent could be Jesus’ uncle or cousin. Zenaida could be the grndmother,aunt or cousin. The theory is that Casey kept in touch with Jesus’ family since Caylee was born and a member of his family (Zenaida Gonzalez)had been Caylee’s babysitter. It goes on to say that Casey kept this info secret from the Anthony family because they did not want her to have any contact with them.
That is an interesting piece of news Catherine.

I know. Found the theory interesting. It seems like Casey might have been allowing the Ortiz famiy to see Caylee, and when things got nasty betweeen Casey and Cindy, she went to the Ortiz family for help with Caylee.

Bounty hunter is dumb if he is going to try and apprehend those who took Caylee. That would be illegal in Florida as bounty hunting is illegal in Florida.

Jose informed BH that the only people that can talk to Casey are her parents and the legal team. BH is out of the loop. He is only there to protect the $ 500,000.00 bond. So,how is he going to find Casey in one week?

I just read it tonight and the part about what George pulled the officer aside is very telling to me. Also, when I read the part about her laughing during questioning to the arresting officers!? This girl is really, really mentally ill.

The fsmily had a habiit of leaving the garage open at night, so everyone thinks someone came in and took her. The area they lived in had alot of consruction going on at the time of the abduction. They moved back to Maryland.

You’re absolutely right mandi… I did forget to add that what BH got out of all this was huge amounts of publicity. Just think all he had to do was spend $50,000.00 to get back probably more than 5 million dollars in publicity. To be on TV like he was on all stations is worth millions. One of my son’s works in advertising and he has spots on TV that run about a minute and it costs way over a million dollars for it.

A lot of the outcome of this case depends on what was found in the trunk and possibly the remote area if that was true about the pings coming from that location. I heard the police deny it but when I read it a second time I noticed that they were denying that she “make a call from that location” What they weren’t saying was that she was there with her cell phone and from what I heard, the cell phone just has to be on … she doesn’t have to make a call in order for them to track it.

I think Jose already knows the results of the DNA. He is going for a manslaughtr charge against Casey that’s why he wanted her home so he could get started on her defense.

Jose has freely admitted that he will be meeting with his client to discuss strategies in their defense case… right now he pretends to be talking about the “Child Neglect” charges. I’m sure he’s REALLY thinking about HOMICIDE charges!
Catherine, do you think Jose REALLY knows the results of the DNA or he just assumes there is a positive match? The reason I’m asking is because, if police know the results, they are under no obligation to release that information to anyone… including Casey’s attorney. Unless and until they charge her with homicide. Giving Jose that infomation too early would hurt the polices investigation and help the defense. What’s your thought on that?

Me, too. I agree with everything you guys have said.
I was so disappointed that the only people present during her release were press related. Thankfully, a few were throwing questions at her, letting her know how her life will be from now on.
Yes, she can leave the house, BUT she doesn’t just have to give notification; she has to get permission. She can’t call and say she’s going to the beach. Only specific type places are allowed. NO LEISURE activities.
She can go to a job (if she has one, which of course she doesn’t–but who knows what TEAM CASEY will cook up). She can go to doc appointments, etc.
She cannot drink alcohol and will be tested. She can’t wear suggestive clothing when meeting with her appointed court contact (I cracked up at that one–gonna have to go shopping cuz that’s all she has!).
My hopes remain with the DNA testing. She cannot SPIN positive scientific proof.
This is a sad day, and with all that rain, even Florida herself seems to be crying.
I’m sure the police have not given Jose any reports on the DNA, but I think he knows the outcome of those tests.
The police are reserving cell #14 for Casey’s return.
Remember she does face other charges that could land her in jail for six years.
How she could plead not guilty about lying to police and child neglect is crazy.

I agree that the police probably haven’t given Jose any DNA reports. He’s just smart enough to realize that a DNA match with Caylee is quite possible, even probable.
“Not guilty” - for lying? Well, she doesn’t understand the very concept of truth, so I suppose she answered honestly!
The more I read — the timeline, the arrest affidavit, etc., the more disgusting it grows.
My only consolation is that she does not have one single friend–not one–who has stood up for her in public. All she has is her parents, brother, and people paid to “care” for her. If she gets away with it, that will be her life.

I agree with you Concerned. Maybe it’s okay that she’s in that environment. Even though Jose says that no one can ask her about Caylee.. do you think Cindy is the kind who can keep her mouth shut? I sure couldn’t if my granddaughter was missing.

Concerned, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking on whether I think Casey will talk or not and I’ve come to the conclusion that she will NOT. I’ll tell you why… She was brought up in a house with her father being a policeman. Like someone else said on here once … she probably learned at an early age that you can keep your mouth shut and get away with a lot of crap…This is one time I think she will keep her mouth shut about Caylee anyway. But I bet she will still get in to heated arguments with her mom.

Many of the talking heads have said though now that she is home, she could definitely tamper with evidence in that house if there is any there to tamper with….Also, Padilla has never said much about the investigation but tonight he said that the Police did not question the towing co. that picked up Casey’s car and impounded it…Since he’s so dumb, he had to have heard that from Baez, you think?
You know with defense attorney’s it’s a game. The bigger challenge that bigger the lies they have to make up. The way a defense attorney feels is that the prosecutor has to prove their point and they can put any opstcles in front of them… it doesn’t matter if it’s lies or not because if they get a jury or judge to believe them then they are in the right period. Does that make any sense?

I was very disappointed that the police didn’t charge her with anything else today before she could get out…very worried they don’t have the evidence. But I did hear supposedly from a “secret FBI source” that really & truly the DNA test results have not been received yet….this according to Shepard Smith on Foxnews today and it’s his source that said it…

You’re right, of course. Even if she speaks, no one will believe her. She doesn’t seem to care about public opinion. But Mom Cindy does care, which is good for the case and good for Caylee. And George could blow at any time.

Mandi… BH was just assuming the police didn’t do that so he could make them look bad. They do all that type of investigating. A lot more than anyone will ever know. I’m sure the cops got all they needed from the Anthony house too. The cops are not stupid, like BH would like us to think… The cops knew that someone could possibly bail Casey’s out at any time.

Well, watching Greta was a waste of time tonight… Nothing but the same old thing. BH saying nothing that he hasn’t said over and over and Jose with his she’s innocent blah, blah, blah.
I always heard Jose say that he and Casey were going to work on her defense. Lord… he probably thinks she pretty too. But, she has an ugly soul.
I got the feeling that Jose is preparing for a homicide trial. I never heard of an attorney spending every waking minute with a client that is charged with child neglect and lying to the police. Jose doesn’t sound like he gets along with the prosecutors that are working on the case.

Did you happen to catch BH saying on the Nancy Grace show something like “If the DNA comes back positive then I will say I was wrong and have to agree with you.”
I bet Jose wet his pants when he heard that because he does’t want anyone on his team saying things like that because of what I said before if the DNA comes back a match, Jose will claim that whoever had Caylee did it. No matter how absurd that sounds that’s what defense attorney’s do… still keep on fighting that their client is innocent. Until and unless the client confesses to him and wants to plea-bargain.

SKANK is right! I was not aware of just what a little tramp she really is until I recently saw photos of her online that for obvious reasons could not be shown on television….OMG….she probably doesn’t even KNOW who Caylee’s father is.

Unfortunately, I think the search for Caylee is going to start winding down. Jose/BH/Casey aren’t going looking for her. And Cindy/George do we know if they ever really ACTUALLY looked for her? I know they drove around a billboard, talked alot to the media, attended vigils, but what did they actually do to find her, does anyone know??
I really believe that she doesn’t know that’s why she made up that lie about whatever his name was that got killed. He looked very Mexican and to me Caylee doesn’t have any Mexican features. That’s usually dominant too.

You could be right. I had the thought that Cindy & family made up the whole story about the father being killed because when Caylee got old enough to ask questions about where’s my father, they had this story prepared. Just a thought…either that or she really doesn’t know WHO father is.
The police have taped off the area where those articles were found. I think the search is still going strong. Don’t forget the telephone records. That also is being looked at by the police.
How could Cindy be in the same house with her daughter and not ask her about Caylee. I’m sure that Cindy’s heart is hurting and I do believe that she naively believes that Caylee is still alive. I think Casey could very well make her mom go insane.

I also heard, I think Catherine here said this, but that Casey was secretly letting the father’s family (Ortiz guy) see Caylee and didn’t want Cindy/George to know because they didn’t approve of him being Mexican and didn’t ever want Caylee to know her Dad was Mexican. And that the Ortiz family is somehow related to ZFG. Don’t know…just another theory out there.
But didn’t the Ortiz hire an attorney (Brian somebody) to represent them and said they have never heard of Casey Anthony and that their son was not the father?
I know that the guy Casey named as the father really did die in a car accident because I saw on the news where they found the guys parents and interviewed them. They said they never knew that their son could possibly have a child. He never said anything. I also heard Cindy say that they never told the guy that it was his baby. But, I think Casey lied about it all and again her parents believed her story. She didn’t want to tell them that she didn’t know who the father was.

Can you imagine how angry wicked Casey will get living such a restricted life with her mother right there to hopefully badger her. I bet in a few days Casey will wish she was back in jail. OMG … a retired homicide detective… that sure would explain how Casey knows the ropes in knowing what to do if something horrible did happen. I know that cops bring their stories home so that would explain a lot of things.
Catherine, as far as Casey selling Caylee and still being able to visit her… I doubt it because why wouldn’t she just tell someone. If the people let her visit Caylee then I would assume they were not horrible killers who Casey had to be afraid of. I guess I will still believe that Caylee is dead unless the DNA comes back negative.
Sadly, there are people in the world with a personality disorder who can do those terrible things and not have any remorse. Like Susan Smith who drowned her poor, sweet little guys locked in their car seats. And walked away while the car was going down. Unbelievable!
She could have sold her for a large sum of money, that way she could move in with Amy and they could party all the time. I can’t think of one other reason this girl would not be in tears over Caylee.
The DNA will prove if Caylee was in the trunk dead. OMG just the thought of that baby in the trunk makes me sick.

Catherine, here’s what I think may be your answer as to why Casey doesn’t cry over Caylee.

Jealousy, possessiveness, need to feel special, adored and admired, rage attacks when their needs not fulfilled, controlling,
Inflated self-esteem, brags, dramatic behavior, blaming everyone else, not taking responsibility, justifies their angry outbursts,
Lacks empathy, arrogant, feels that the world revolves around them and are not willing to change.
I think that’s it in a “nut” shell.

You know strangly enough I do. Especially with her dad being a former police officer. I’ll tell you why.. like I said earlier, I’m sure her dad brought stories home and everyone knows that the less people that know about a crime the less chance of the person getting caught.
In other words… I think Casey knows that she can’t tell a soul.
Casey knows that it would have to be proven in court beyond a reasonable doubt. And if nobody else knows that all the less who can testify against her.

Cindy said Casey picked Jose Baez to represent her. Maybe that’s because he is known for representing baby killers. Ironically Baez was 40 minutes late to the sentencing of one of the baby killers he represents because he was escorting Casey home from jail yesterday.
