I am too cheap to pay for anything other than a basic cable plan.  Therefore, I get both C-SPAN channels, local channels and ESPN.  There are two things I miss from an expanded cable package.  The first is the ability to see my favorite baseball team play all their games (Go Twins! Currently tied atop the AL Central with those dirty White Sox).  The second is being able to see Comedy Central, one of the greatest television stations of all time.  Now there is a new DVD out selecting some of the best stand-up moments from the history of that channel.

Starting this August 26th, now available on DVD from Comedy Central DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment comes the latest collection of hilarious stand up comedy from the only television station devoted solely to being funny – The Best Of Comedy Central Presents Two – Uncensored.

There are eight comics included in this DVD.  Dave Attell (who went on to host Insomniac on Comedy Central which was disappointing), Mike Birbiglia (who looks nothing like what he sounds), Frank Caliendo (you know him from doing John Madden impersonations on Fox Football Sunday and on MadTV), Zach Galifianakis (he was in Out Cold and had a show on HBO), Steven Lynch (no idea how he made it into this collection, like the ugly girl in an Abercrombie ad), Patton Oswalt (he is in The King Of Queens and was the voice of the rat in Ratatouille), Nick Swardson (he is Jessica Biel’s butterfly brother in I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry) and Daniel Tosh (this is the only funny stand-up routine Tosh ever does).

The special features included in this DVD are a selection of quickies, a couple of short scenes from other Comedy Central shows which are supposed to be funny.  In fact, they are rather hilarious, but they are the same quickies which have been released as a special feature on Comedy Central DVDs for the last four months.
