Just watched this today. The acting is pretty bad, except for David Carradine. The chinese peasants speak fluently english. The dialogue is laughable sometimes. But the most important part in this kind of movie is the kung-fu, right? Well, at least this movie delivers in that area.
Carradine's character in the film is NOT the Kane you have come to know in Kung-Fu. White Crane is much more violent and brutal, a kind of an-eye-for-an-eye man.
Even at 72 years, David Carradine still does his own fights and boys, does he have some killer moves. His fight with the sailors in a bar is brutal and gory, as White Crane breaks bones very efficiently and very coldly.
The young chinese man delivers some good moves, too, but nothing outstanding. Wu Jing he isn't. I wish they had hired Wu Jing to play his part.

Overall, fans of martial arts films in general and of David Carradine in particular will enjoy this one. I did.
I need to add: among the very few kung-fu flicks released this year, Ip Man is still the best.
