Actually, HRW already acknowledged that they misidentified the cluster munitions found in Georgia. These were not RBK-250 bombs but Israeli-made LAR-160 rockets used by Georgia. Georgian Defense Ministry also confirmed this. Photos published by HRW show LAR-160 rockets, not RBK-250 bombs.

Bravo, Rich: “Redirecting someone elses [sic]arguement [sic] that opposes your perspective is tantamount to a Communist dictatorship.” Really? I didn’t realize it was that easy. Someone should have told Putin this two weeks ago. He could have just redirected Georgian arguments, avoided the redirection of his troops into their country, and gotten his Communist dictatorship without firing a shot. I suspect we are in agreement about the conduct of the War in Iraq, but how did this discussion veer off into a discussion of all that? Schussler’s article started out being about Putin and Georgia.

David, we don’t all agree with this war (Iraq, not the one you wrote about). But most of us do sincerely appreciate and thank your three (!) sons who are serving in it, despite some of the “worn recycled rehtoric [sic]” we no doubt have heard. –Mark Mercer

Oh so you seem to speak on behalf of the US armed services?

Many of our soldiers do speak for themselves and also agree we have no business in a Country that does not want us.

Comparing deaths of the enemy in regard to innocent deaths as opposed to ours is not an arguement, everyone looses.

Redirecting someone elses arguement that opposes your perspective is tantamount to a Communist dictatorship.

Take it for what it is, argue it but dont tell someone to change his or her beliefs if it does not follow yours.

We live in a Democracy, and don’t give me that worn recycled rehtoric that we are fighting for that in Iraq.

You obviously don’t read my blogs. The collateral deaths of innocent people in any war concerns me always. It also concerns the brave military that we send to help free those people (I have three sons in the armed forces). The number of accidental deaths of innocents by US forces pales in comparison to the ongoing random slaughter by Al Quaeda and Iranian forces of the innocent Iraqis. This is where your research and witing should be directed.
