The Complete Eleventh Season

I went to a painfully conservative college and watching this show was one of my dirty little secrets.  Reruns were on late at night and my roommates and I would stay up just to catch those hilarious episodes.  Sadly, it was one of the most fulfilling memories of those years.  The shock in people’s eyes when I spoke about watching this show was worth not getting as much sleep as I could have every single time.  Now there’s a new collection of this phenomenal show available in a special edition collectors DVD boxed set.

Starting this August 12th, now available on DVD from Comedy Central DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment comes the latest season of one of the most hilarious and groundbreaking television shows of our time.  South Park – The Complete Eleventh Season – Uncensored is ready to roar into your living room and take captive those mature enough to watch this wonderful show.  Bring home this masterpiece of comedy and commentary today!

In this eleventh season, all sorts of crazy things happen.  Kyle and Stan become Guitar Hero heroes and face addiction, everyone in class gets head lice, a hilarious spoof for 300 and some lesbian jokes occur, Stan and Kyle learn the history behind the real Easter Bunny and the homeless invade South Park.  This season also includes the groundbreaking three part Imaginationland series, which was released about three months ago separately and to great acclaim.

The special features included in this DVD boxed set are a set of optional audio commentaries on each episode by series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.  I would have preferred a little more information, but when it comes to this masterpiece of a show, any little thing is worth it.

I am astounded by the fact that this show is 11 years old and even funnier than it was when it started.  Most shows would grow stale, but Matt and Trey are able to stick with the same group of base jokes and keep it hilarious.  The additions of Butters and Token in the last few years have been priceless and it seems as though the writers are willing to expand it out until we know the whole class of hilarious kids.  This show is a modern masterpiece of an insulting and offensive show which still maintains a very highbrow comedic sense.  The episode where the homeless are like zombies is priceless, especially to a fan of the zombie genre like me.  I recommend this show to anyone who is mature enough to watch it.  This is one of the funniest shows on television today.

Come on down to South Park and meet some friends of mine!
