John Edwards Caught with Rielle Hunter and Baby
Will the MSM Catch Up Now?
John Edwards can now probably kiss his Vice presidential prospects with Barack Obama good-bye now that he’s been caught leaving the Beverly Hilton, after a meeting with Rielle Hunter and their love child in LA early Tuesday morning.
Of course, that’s assuming that the Mainstream Media picks up on the story this time around.
The story of Edwards and his one-time campaign worker, Hunter, surfaced in October 2007, when the National Enquirer first broke the story.

That story excited little interest, but it seemed like a tidal wave of publicity compared to the media reaction when the Enquirer released it’s December 2007 story and named Hunter as the other half of the affair.
The Mainstream Media totally blacked out the story.
Not one reporter asked Edwards, who at the time was on the campaign trail in his quest for the presidency, about the allegations–even though it was revealed that Hunter had been moved 5 miles from the Edwards Campaign HQ in Chapel Hill NC. The fact that the house she was living in was owned by an Edwards’ backer didn’t excite any MSM curiosity.
Neither did the fact that Hunter was driving around in a BMW registered to a campaign official.
Will this time be any different?
Probably, since Edwards is no longer in the hunt for the Democrat nomination. He was, however, mentioned prominently in discussions as a possible VP candidate for Barack Obama. Others mentioned Edwards’ name as a possible Attorney General candidate.

How quickly will the MSM pick up on a story which rightly should have been covered six or eight months ago?
The fact the story was blacked out is one reason the MSM is undergoing difficult times. “Rielle Hunter” was the most-searched for term on Google at the time, but that may have been partly due to the media black out.
Perhaps this time around, “third time’s will prove to be a charm”.

Wow how convenient. The last time this came up Edwards was starting to pick up steam in the primaries. Now with the imminent announcement of Obamas VP choice of which Edwards is on a very short list. The ‘powers that be’ are trying to ruin any chance of his being chosen, tells me he was probably the one!!. What amazing timing!! people need to get a clue in how we are being manipulated and our politicians are being chosen for us. Edwards has ALWAYS been the candidate that the GOP and corporate America has feared, they will do ANYTHING to keep him out of power. WHY???? just take a guess….
Who cares who is sleeping with who particularly if the principals don’t have an issue? Only the people sitting in their trailor watching Jerry on the black and white. It’s not my business and it shouldn’t be anyone else’s as well. It wouldn’t affect my vote whoever the candidate is. Why?, because I’m sure if someone followed anyone around for a while, their actions would probobly not fit our form of morality. Anyway, we aren’t hiring a priest and if we were there’s a good chance we wouldn’t like what they do…
Don’t forget that the New York Times ran a COVER story that IMPLIED that McCain might have had an affair with a female lobbyist.
I think this story deserves similar treatment.

I’ll bet John Edwards’ wife actually TOLD her husband he’s free to seek other women after she’s gone. She knows with her cancer, she’s not long for this world. It wouldn’t surprise me if she knows all about Edwards’ affair–and doesn’t even mind.
John Edwards for Vice-Pres!! John Edwards and Rielle Hunter just had a new baby!!! Don’t feel sorry for Mrs. Edwards. The National Enquirer broke this story way back in October 2007, but the MSM still refuses to report it. She is a classic codependent wife who has enabled her cheating husband, Senator John Edwards, to have multiple affairs, as everyone in South Carolina knows. It’s much more important to see John Edwards as he LIES to the world about his affair. Lucky for the Democrats that he didn’t get the nomination!!

I know you went by Rose on another thread spewing the same BS You state everyone in South Carolina knows what a player Edwards is thats strange considering they live in North Carolina and have for years. Also you state EE is a classic codependent how do you know this? You know you need to stop spreading rumors, it is evil. If and when you see actual pictures and real credible eyewitness reports to validate this info, However the political timing of this supposed news is very suspect. Let’s cast doubt on a strong contender for the Democratic VPresidency.With typical political expediency, Look to motive.. why would Edwards meet her in a famous hotel in L.A. a papparazzi haven? He arrives there in stealth fashion, yet the report then states they both leave the hotel together… WTF… I don’t think so, no actual pictures or independent eye witness reports..here is a very famous man with a woman already suspected to be his mistress just going for a stroll in L.A. all a week before Obama is to announce his VP choice?? Seems to me Edwards was alot further up that short VP list than the powers of be wanted….so now we destroy him…..
It is a question of decency and honesty. I may be “old-fashioned” but when you make a vow to someone that is a promise. He had his wife and children on the campaign trail. He received our sympathy regarding his wife’s illness (and I believe he lost a child). He has a lovely family……but if that story
is true…he lacks character!…..I still want a hero for a President…..not a jerk..
Edwards is a self-aggrandizing hypocrite and jerk. His wife is undergoing treatment for breast cancer and he has an affair??
Unethical and sleazy behavior is nothing new for him, though. He made his fortune pretending to care for the “little guy” by drumming up bogus lawsuits against doctors. How many doctors have had to quit their practices due to the skyrocketing cost of malpractice insurance thanks to weasels like Edwards?
He lives in a pretentious mansion and makes lots of $ giving speeches about poverty. And as all politicians who call themselves compassionate, his compassion and generosity consist of giving away other people’s money.
He is beneath contempt, and the sooner he disappears from the public stage, the better.
As to why it matters if a politician cheats on his or her spouse - if a person will break the vows they took when getting married, they will have no compunction about telling lies for any reason. Adultery also exposes them to potential blackmail.
