64 Zoo Lane

I’m not sure what to think of zoos.  They are a pretty fun and interesting place.  You get to see all sorts of animals you would never see otherwise and you can learn an awful lot about animal life in general.  Yet at the same time, it is also chillingly similar to being in a prison.  The animals are listless, they all seem sad.  The last time I went to one, I saw a gorilla sitting and crying, looking out the window.  That’s sad.  But now there’s a new television show out about zoos.

Starting this July 29th, now available on DVD from PorchLight Home Entertainment and Zoo Lane Productions comes the first collection of stories from an award-winning series of children books.  64 Zoo Lane is ready for you to bring home and show your children the magical world which is all around them.  Show them a new way to look at their lives today!

This show is the story of Lucy, a little girl who lives in a house at 64 Zoo Lane, so named because it is right next to a zoo.  Every night, Lucy meets up with Georgina the giraffe and is told a story by a zoo animal.  She learns about social and emotional issues from Nelson the elephant, Zed the zebra, Tickles and Giggles the monkeys, Henriette, Joey, Snowbert and Kevin.  This disc includes nine fascinating episodes and nine additional zoo animals just dying to meet you.

This DVD does not include any special features.

This show is made up of a very interesting concept.  This was originally broadcast on Nickelodeon Jr’s Noggin and on the BBC.  The animation is pretty good and the stories and lessons are always worth listening to.  All in all, this show is worth it to have your children watch it.

This Zoo will help your children make their own imaginations run wild.

PorchLight Home Entertainment is a division of PorchLight Entertainment, a media production and distribution company which remains dedicated to providing high-quality family friendly media.

This DVD is available at Amazon.com.
