Thank U very much for your contribution. It is written by a Colombian and it is exactly how most of the Colombians feel .
And how reality is nowadays. Fortunately it is far safer nowadays in Colombia than 10 years ago. Thanks to the cooperation of Colombia with the USA (Clinton, Bush, Obama) and more especially, thanks to our president Alvaro Uribe. Therefor, even after 7 years of Presidency, he is still very popular with a support of 65%. Which president can say that after 7 years?
No it has nothing to do with ideology. That is what some foreigners like Oliver Stone make of it. They think of Che Guevara as a nice person. Yep a nice person for a far away country where they have no ties whatsoever.
If you have friend or family in our country you would be aware of the violence these so-called freedom-fighters are responsible for. Like Che Guevara: he was a killer, just like they are. They let children fight for them. Use them as bombs, even babies.
And the people in Colombia are fed up with anything like that violence for a better world. And for mr Oliver Stone it is very easy wearing T-shirt with that killer, Che, on it. After his good deeds with his friend Chavez he went safely back to his mansion in Hollywood.
The fact that Americans do not care about the doings of that film director has got to do with complete ignorance or worse. For most of the Americans should know, that Chavez is not a friend of the USA.
Colombians do not understand the attitude of some Americans .

I disagree with most of your statements.
You can't talk about the conflict in such simple fashion.

You can't just analyze the conflict from your own perspective and write a biased and misleading representation of the conflict based on your own views.

This conflict is not about the united states, or capitalism or communism, socialism, extremism etc.

The conflict in Colombia is an ideological one.

Read more, then write your childish blogs.

Cheers

I am very pleased with your commentary. Uribe has done a very good job. Nowadays Medellin has become far safer and so we are going to live there soon.
