Wish you had said at least a little bit about what "Blood Trail: A Novel" by Cary Cook is about. I went and looked at the listing on Aamzon and it sounds pretty cliched to me. Cook (2006). Starred reviews in Publishers Weekly and Booklist. Cook's version is everything that C.J. Box's version wishes that it were. The writing is exponentially better than anything C.J. Box is capable of, and the story and the characters are the real deal. Box is a real jerk for using the same title. No doubt, he is laughing all the way to the bank. If you want real, then read Cook.
