You've hit the nail on the head. For goodness sakes, Dunkin' Donuts is TRIPLING its number of stores in the same economy. Why? Better coffee for less money and no pretension. It does not pretend to be something that it isn't and delivers what it promises to the public. Starbucks tried to become Dunkin but couldn't. While Dunkin is selling very good latte and cappuccino drinks, it isn't trying to become Starbucks. In fasct, Dunkin commecials make fun of the "Starbucks experience." Brilliant, really. Really.
