In response to the three school shootings this week, Wisconsin state representative Frank Lasee (R-Green Bay) has stated that he will introduce legislation early next year that he says will help the problem. If the legislation passes, it will make it legal for teachers and principals to carry firearms into class with them for self defense purposes after they had undergone strict firearm training. “Sometimes when people are intent on harming others, the only reasonable response you could have is to confront them with firepower to stop them,” said Lasee who came to this decision using the logic that this method has been effective in both Thailand and Israel, where schools were once heavily favored targets for terrorists.
