But there is a problem with its controls. I consider myself a techno geek and mostly don't have problems handling such devices, including a similar much cheaper thing by Philips, but I could hardly set alarm on this one, with the manual in my hand. Now the real problem, my unit just stopped working and I have tried everything and it does not work. Does anyone know where to get it fixed; noting I 'purchased' mine using Aeroplan points. I have left my radio in the box as it was intended for a birthday present. Now I cannot return this. Not to mention that the setup was very non-intuative I must say the stupidest thing about this product is that when any music is playing (radio,CD) you cannot see the time!!! The sound quality is incredible. However, there are two defects: the first is that it produces an incredible amount of heat, even when in standby mode, and will damage any varnished surface on which it is placed. I don't know where in the design this defect was missed. The second problem is that using the stereo output for headphones does not suppress the internal speaker, so it cannot be used to listen quietly.
