Yeah, when Deepak Chopra says it is in the right spirit and should not be taken too seriously, then I stop worrying. He is a very intelligent and sensitive man who also has a sense of humor, and whom I respect.

I like how the only protests to the Indian censor board seem to have come from groups based in the US. Most of us in India quite like the film.

Our country was founded for religious tolerance but sometimes because of the "political correctness" of our day and time things blow into outrageous proportions. I was born and raised Pentecostal Holiness. The majority of my friends were and are Southern Baptist. I have heard the term "Holy Roller" so many times. Yes it hurt my feelings when I was younger and offended me as I grew older. I explained my religion and many of my friends went to church with me. I did not whine about that offense. of the last things I want to hear is someone complaining about how unfair it is that someone can attack their religion. You live in the United States of America. You have the right to practice your religion freely and without persecution. Do not attempt to force your religion on someone who does not wish to hear it. I am not speaking of ANY ONE RELIGION. Respect has gone by the way side in this country.

How incredible that you, a non-Hindu, would claim that a Hindu's reactions to a movie with potetnially offensive references are asinine. How can you possibly know what the "offended" feel? Thus what gives you the right to call their reactions asinine? I am not offended by the movie - hey it's just Mike Myers - but I am offended by your attitude.
