I had a lot of friends who were really into this show when it was on television.  And all the girls always thought that Jonathan Taylor Thomas was so good looking.  Of course, he went on to achieve absolutely nothing after this show.  So that shows what looks are good for.  Nonetheless, there is a new chance for you to relive the final season of this wonderful show once again.

Starting this June 10th, now available as a special edition collector’s DVD boxed set from Touchstone Television and Buena Vista Home Entertainment comes the final season of one of the funniest shows of the nineties.  Home Improvement – The Complete Eighth Season is ready for you to bring into your house and enjoy whenever the wish for that quirky sense of humor hits you.

Sadly, it is time to bid Tim the Toolman Taylor and all his Binford tools farewell.  In this season, things get sad for Tim and Al.  There are all sorts of hilarious misadventures, great life lessons and obscure facts from Wilson.  The guest stars are also shining with the arrival of Oprah Winfrey, Morgan Fairchild and Mario Andretti.  But in the end, Randy and Brad leave the house to each go their separate ways, Tim quits doing Tool Time and the whole family ends up moving away.

The special features included in this special edition collector’s DVD boxed set are a live reunion special hosted by Tim Allen and Richard Karn with all new standup material from Allen and a reel of hilarious bloopers.

This show is hilarious!  I think Al is by far the greatest character.  Tim’s wife is not good looking, sounds like a man and is rarely funny.  Tim can be funny at times, but he is usually too loud for my tastes.  That leaves Al and Wilson to deliver on the humor and they certainly do so and safe every single show.  The beard jokes slay me every time.

This Improvement will leave you a better, or at least happier, person.
