I am so tired of all the politial rederic. The politions are not going to anything to get the illegal immigrant out of the United States. The only way they would do anything would be if the illegals were taking their jobs. To Hell with us once middle class people. The hispanics have taken over the construction in oklahoma.Every contractor has had to go into remodel or out of the business completely.I understand that their country is in a mess, but why don’t they try to fix their country.They come over here and buy guns and commit crimes so why don;t they go fight for a better life in their country. Here we are in a war in Iraq and afganistan and a whole country to the south of us is taking over. Employers who hire these people need to be prosicuted fined and jail time.

Way to go ICE! It’s time to take a ZERO tolerance towards ALL illegal immigration. Prosecute ALL employers of illegals and vote out ALL politicians pandering for amnesty, ragardless of party. We must demand an end to illegal immigration NOW!

The politicians had a way to “fix” the problem last year, but it failed. It was bad enough for the politicians to offer amnesty to illegals, it was really for the politicians and big business. They are still at it with the SAVE Act, where once again they promise to secure the border and go after identity theft, but it will let businesses of the hook for up to fours years, depending on size. Makes you wonder what will happen in that four years, a new improved amnesty?

I work a case load of Spanish speaking Medi-Cal (Medicaid) recipients, which includes citizens, resident aliens and illegal immigrants. I have to check and verify every Social Security and resident alien number before benefits are issued. There are some minor problems with name spellings, but it is easy to see unverified number matches to a name or unauthorized usage, especially when multiple people are working the same number. The fake or borrowed Social Security numbers used by the illegal immigrants are not put in the state’s computer system, as they would cause problems, but the pay checks submitted by these same individuals are accepted and used for determining their benefits.

The State of California forces all its counties to correct any Social Security or Client Identification Number redundancies or mismatches in its computer system. The Social Security numbers, and the accounts they represent, should be reconciled to insure its future integrity for the protection of all citizens and legal residents.

Well written post. As SSN match legislation nears the amount of illegal immigrants needing a legitimate (stolen) identity will increase.

Unless aggressive action is taken, we will likely see a whole new wave of identity theft and the biggest victims are likely to be Hispanic Americans.
