Not bad, a small surprise. I'll agree that my favorite songs are Don't Go To Hell Without Me and Twelve Stars, mostly due to the sitar. The rest is not bad, but sounds like it owes or borrows a bit too much from the Brian Jonestown Massacre and some songs off the Nuggets boxsets. Interestingly, it seems that the two guitar players, E.J. Hagen and Alex White have joined the Morning After Girls, whom I absolutely adore. And before House of Fire, these two were in a shoegaze band called Highspire, who were on Clairecords (who ran the Tonevendor store) out in Sacramento. I play this one all the time, cannot get enough. The sitar on Twelve Stars, beautiful & very psychedelic, yeah! Don't Go To Hell Without Me, one of the best songs of the year!!! I am gonna review it, for my blog, just haven't gotten to it yet......they deserve more reviews. House of Fire’s self-titled album is one of my top albums of 08.
