		<description>Polygamy is bad for women, which is why it is forbidden in secular countries like China and the USSR.

In the gay marriage and polygamy arguments, "religion" is the straw man to knock down...but history and anthropology show a different story, as I pointed out in an earlier post about traditional African polygamy, which  was a survival tactic to protect women, and rejected by women as soon as they had an alternative.</description>
