Why are you picking on a total technicality of something Obama's wife said? What is important is the gaping distance between Obama, a proactive politician, and McCain, who often forgets large chunks of the Constitution.

Second of all, when Michelle Obama uses the word "fear", that doesn't mean she's fearmongering. She's saying that fear is bad. That's the opposite of fearmongering. This is simple logic.

Thirdly, there are people in this country who live in different areas than New York, and people who are not the determined children of immigrants. Many of them ARE burdened by this fear. Just because everyone isn't burdened by a problem does not mean it is illegitimate. She's identifying true issues occurring in the United States, and she wants to alleviate them.

Michelle Obama is not badmouthing America. If you don't love your country enough to say anything critical about it, it'll never change for the better. Do not dismiss legitimate problems just because there are worse issues in other places; there's always going to be faults that burden a country and could never be cured if nobody gave a damn.

Pther than taking quotes out of context, drawing wrongful analogies, shooting the messenger instead of addressing the issue, blatant bias, spouting pontifications for self ego fulfillment, and the writer displaying to the world that he has the mental swiftness of a herd of turtles racing through peanut butter...not much wrong with the recent post.

Fact is...with the GOP we are pormised four more years of the disaster we have suffered for the past eight. We are promised more war, more social strife, more loss of real wages and income, more class distinction, more social barriers to social integration, more favortism to the wealth and Big Corporate America, more monopolies, more restrictions on our Rights, and leading the US into the Third World, more political strife.

Obama offers a chance. A choice. Real potential to return us to the Glory Years.

Obama '08 ! YES WE CAN !
