I have always been a country music fan as my husband freely tells everyone. I have been a fan of Shania Twain from the beginning. I have always admired her for her awesome personality. She has one that I find is rare in her business.
I was saddened for her when I heard the news that she and her hubby of 14 years, Robert “Mutt” Lange are separating which has been confirmed by her publicist, today May 15, 2008.
The 42 year old singer and 59 year old husband-producer were married December 28, 1993 and they have a 6 year old son, Eja (which is pronounced Asia). Twains publicist’s claims no further details are being given out at this time.
Mutt produced three of his wife’s albums whish were, in 1995 “The Woman In Me”, 1997 “Come On Over” and 2002’s “Up” which each have sold more than 10 million copies in the United States alone.
Other hits which gave Shania Twain her fortune were “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “You’re Still The One” and “Forever and For Always”.
Mutt is well known for his work with metal acts such as AC/DC and Def Leppard. He wasn’t one for being in the spot light. He has not given an interview in years and he is rarely photographed anywhere. In fact he didn’t even appear in the wedding pictures that Shania gave out to the media after their wedding.
I am really sorry to see this happening for Shania. I do hope she will be happy again soon.
