I think that this is wonderful! I wish the religious “right” would stop screaming about how everyone has to follow their religious beliefs and start realizing that this is America and everyone has rights!

I cannot believe that these people have nothing better to do than to go after the civil rights of others. There is so much more “unjust” issues in this world.

I read an article today where there are some crying over how religion is going to take a back seat to personal preference and how the trend is changing. All I can say on this is “GOOD”! It is time to realize that we in America have certain unalienable rights and that not even Christian beliefs should prevent people from exercising those rights.

It is not breaking down the “moral fabric” of my family. My 74 year old CHRISTIAN father thinks that it is wonderful (I wonder if he is going to be eternally damned for that..lol)

I think you misunderstood Glenn’s point on the tax code versus his son’s sexual orientation. He was clearly being facetious.

I hate to tell you this; but if your son is gay then he is gay. You should love him for who he is, not what sex he chooses to fall in love with. A federal tax desicion is not going to determine his sexual orientation. Why do you fear homosexuals? Just because gay and lesbian couples can now marry does not mean that it’s going to ruin your marriage. It is fantastic that the superior court has finally realized that homosexuals are people too and deserve the same rights as everyone else.
I beg you to remember that gays have suffered through this just as Jews have suffered in the past. Gay people were put into the concentration camps as well, there were just not as many of them as there were Jews. For hundreds of years gay people have been persecuted for living the way “God” created them. They have been burned at the stake, tortured, hassled, bashed, and murdered just because people feel that they aren’t people because of who they love.

I think this is a WONDERFUL turn of events. Since when is it wrong to love someone and want to spend the rest of your life with them? There is no reason it should be looked at any differently depending on if it is a Man & Woman or Man & Man or Woman & Woman. We are all people. This does not destroy marriage only makes it stronger!! I am sorry that some people still don’t understand and can not move on in life, so are forced to see things in such a dark and glommy view. That I guess is thier own downfall and I have no power over someone who denies the future and love in thier life. If they make the choice to be unhappy and believe false ideas, so be it. I can only effect myself and I chose to be happy and to Love who my heart tells me to love. Today is a Wonderful way, no matter what anyone says.
