I grew up loving Country Music so this DVD brought back some of my memories when I was younger. It features 16 classic country songs that were recorded Live at Church Street Station in Orlando Florida in 1984. There are spectacular performances from artists such as TG Sheppard, Tanya Tucker, Dottie West, Freddie Fender, Charlie Rich and more.

TG Sheppard opens the show with “Love Made A Liar Out of Me”and then follows with Mountain Music. Dottie West comes on stage in her bright pants with matching boots and sings “Here Comes My Baby” and “American Trilogy”.

Now I am a Cajun from New Orleans so when I heard Freddie Fender singing Jambayla it sure made me remember the good old foot stomping days in the Honky Tonk Bars back home.

Tanya Tucker does her hit “The Night They Drove Ole Dixie Down” and “Texas When I Die” which was great but I was wondering if she deliberately forgot her pair of pants when she came on stage because it looked like she was only wearing a shirt. Once I got past trying to figure that out I enjoyed her songs.

Others performing on this DVD include Gary Morris, Charlie Rich, Gene Watson and Boxcar Willie. They have a special feature on this DVD that gives you a little history about each performer which I found interesting. I like knowing a little about who I am listening to.

There is also another feature called a Bonus Quiz. If you get all the answers correct in the quiz you get a performance by a surprise guest. I would have to agree that this DVD is an incredible selection of musical performances sure to be included in the collection of any country music buff.

This DVD can be found at MVD. The street date for it is May 13, 2008.
