Starting this April 15th, now available on DVD from Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Home Entertainment, is the latest and greatest installment of television shows from everyone’s favorite sponge.  That’s right, Spongebob Squarepants – Pest Of The West is now ready for you to take home and enjoy every night.  Bring your children the yellow square present they’ll enjoy for a long time!

Pest Of The West consists of seven television episodes.  The first of these is “Pest Of The West.”  In this episode, Spongebob discovers that his ancestor, Spongebuck, was instrumental in making Bikini Bottom what it is today.  The second of these is “The Krusty Plate.”  In this episode, Spongebob refuses to leave work one night until he gets a stain off a plate to hilarious results.  The third of these is “Pat No Pay.”  In this episode, Patrick eats way too many Krabby Patties and can’t pay for them, so he must work off the debt.  The fourth of these is “The Inmates Of Summer.”  In this episode, Spongebob accidentally ends up on a boat full of inmates, but decides to have fun anyway!  The fifth of these is “To Save A Squirrel.”  In this episode, Sandy, Patrick, and Spongebob attend survival training camp.  The sixth of these is “20,000 Patties Under The Sea.”  In this episode, Spongebob and Patrick find an old submarine and Mr. Krabbs thinks of a great way to put it to use.  The seventh and final of these episodes is “The Battle Of Bikini Bottom.”  In this episode, Patrick and Spongebob face off in a duel between dirty and clean.

The special features included in this disc are an original animation about “The Pest Of The West,” four animated shorts, and a full screen format.

Spongebob Squarepants remains one of the funniest children’s shows on television.  Created and voiced by Stephen Hillenberg, who went on to become the president of Nickelodeon, Spongebob has continued to be freshly funny and interesting.  Patrick is stupidly hilarious, Squidward is the funniest straight man in comedy right now, and Mr. Krabbs in Milo Minderbinder under the sea.  It’s a wonderful show for children to enjoy and, given the right circumstances, it can be the same for adults as well.

Spongebob isn’t just yellow, he’s comic gold!
