Writing as a journalist from Zambia here in southern Africa I should say that indeed Barack Obama is a hugely popular and phenomenal figure. If Africans were allowed to vote in your November elections Barack would win hands down. I feel the Democrats need to try - in fact try very hard indeed - to look beyond old traditional loyalties and appreciate the gem they have in this visionary senator. I submit that it is old loyalties rather than substance that is keeping older white people behind Hillary. If the Democrats eventually give the nomination to Hillary, the Republicans will have a feast. They will chew Hillary and her vice-presidential choice - whoever that will be - flesh, bones and skin and leave nothing on their plates. After that Ross Perot and Nader might have to seriously seriously consider forming a new party because the Dems would not survive the misery of the aftermath.

I am French Canadian and I can tell you that millions of human beings in every continent of this planet are already convinced that Barack Obama has a vision for the American Foreign Policy that will be good for America and for the rest of the world. People all over the world are watching the democratic race. Millions of people are already convinced that Barack Obama can bring the changes that are much needed in our world. And because of Barack Obama's foreign policy vision, America will again be a very respected country.
If Barack Obama becomes President, you will see the kind of respect and admiration that he will get from the rest of the planet. You just have no idea how many articles are written about him everywhere.
I have read two interviews that Barack Obama has given to the most prestigious French magazine called Paris Match. I can tell you that if you could read those articles in French you would be proud that Barack Obama is American. I wish we had our own Barack Obama here in Canada. Barack Obama is the best thing that happen to America and to the world since a long time. God bless Barack Obama and God Bless America!

The problem is that all the demographics are against Obama in PA. There aren't enough minorities and college students to push Obama past the glut of white older voters in the state.

The trend during this whole primary season has been the same. Clinton builds a big lead, then Obama comes to a state and cuts the gap or takes the lead. Clinton should win my home state by 13-15, anything less is loss for her. Obama won't win PA without a total Clinton collapse. This state is custom made for Clinton, and it looks unlikely that she will lose it. This is some poor analysis based on flat out optimism on this author's part.

Barack Obama is a great candidate, and he is a great speaker. He will do very well against McCain in the debates. The more people hear Obama talk, and listen to his message of hope and change, the more they like him. We could have an Obama/Clinton ticket for President (in that order). That combination would unite the Democrat party. Barack Obama is my first choice for President, but lets not forget that Barack and Hillary are both Democrats. The Democrats need to unite and focus on winning in November.

VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA AND LETS GET A DEMOCRAT WIN IN NOVEMBER!

It is a puzzlement to me why Hillary supporters seem to think that the more similar the nominee looks to a conservative bushian rovian type, the more likely the Dems will be elected in Nov. That really does not make any sense at all. I'm supporting Obama...with no reservations. Stewart

Obama will close in every state across America once Hillary Clinton is deleted.

On the Jeremiah Wright, some people can't be exptected to understand the dynamics, nuances and compexities that revolve around such deep-rooted issues. If people like DrQ want to go and vote for Mccain as a substitute for challenging their own ignorances, no problem.

Obama '08

I am an independent –

While I don’t like Hilary’s exaggeration of her experience in Bosnia, I can’t stand Obama’s unwillingness to cut tie with the radical reverend Wright. McCann and the Republican machine will have fun in tearing Obama in parts if Obama won the Democratic nomination.

The average of the 5 best known polls for the Democratic race in PA have Hillary Clinton up by 6 points.

The only poll by a group local to PA, the Quinnipiac University poll, has Clinton up by 9 points. This poll is remarkable because Obama is at 41 points—exactly where he was on March 18 dispite an all out ad blitz in the Keystone State where Team Obama is outspending Clinton 3-to-1 on TV ad time, and has announced that it will be spending 40% of its cash on hand in PA to try to take Clinton out there.

If Obama cannot close the deal in PA by spending all that ad cash and with a 30 day run-up to the primary election with no other primaries to contend with before then, then the party needs to seriously rethink Obama as the nominee.

A mere narrowing of the Race in PA after spending $3 million a day there for 10 days does not a victory make.

See the Real Clear Politics PA poll average at http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/pa/pennsylvania_democratic_primary-240.html

One final note: The narrowing of the Democratic polls nationally (Clinton-Obama are now statistically tied) shows Obama cannot close the deal nationally either.

I thought Bill told us that Hillary was done if she did not win TX... Latest caucus results show that Obama won TX. I guess the Clintons just keep moving the goal line and trying to change the rules.
