		<description>The Hogenkal Issue could be a deliberate ploy on the part of Karunanidhi to raise a controversy so that his failing hold on the Tamil Electorate could be regained before the Parliamentary elections. Congress which is a puppet in the hands of Karunanidhi is now in a fix in Karnataka. While it may gain some Tamil votes in sympathy to their silence, BJP is likely to have a major gain if they stand behind the Kannada cause.
