I'm actually a tiny little miffed at you guys not trolling me as you have done with Terryeo and Lightfield, not to mention that you haven't recently heard called myself and others disinformationists. Of course that would be the pot calling the kettle black and generally not good PR as people do kind of pick up on that kind of thing. I want you to know that it hasn't gone unnoticed that you have not promoted psychiatry and that will be all I say on that subject for now.

Regarding this Texas Republican Party passing a resolution declaring Scientology to be a business may I ask for a link to some news because all I heard was that according to GlossLips some anon submitted a resolution to the Texas RNC. Did it actually go farther than that. I'm not saying someone is a disinformationist but something like that might actually make the news.

In response to Jessicarae it is very obvious that some actually study Scientology with only intent to attack it, rather than to try to understand it and think for themselves. Then there are others who don't look at it all and only let others think for them. For those who who are actually interested and want to think for themselves they can find books in the library and they can decide for themselves if they want to also look at what the naysayers say. Before I joined, I looked at all this stuff and asked hard questions and decided on my own. If I had a choice do it over I would choose not to waste my time checking out the naysayers but don't let me make that choice for you.

So I'm to understand that Manson was in prison and did some coauditing with some guy and it obviously didn't work because when he showed up at the Celibrity Center they pretty much figured out that he was psychotic.

Just to clarify, not to criticize the word "eclectically" was not used very well by Charlie Angel as that usage would suggest the best of many combined. A better example would be the phrase Legion Of Anonymous That Hate "Eclectically", where I use "" to indicate the word "Eclectically" was used sarcastically in forming the word LOATHE as a lable for the group calling themselves Anonymous.

I like how mento up there said "Even though your intent is to oppose it, you’re actually just as obsessed with Scientology as everyone else". But think, i research to have a valid basis for my disgust. Its only fair to know the facts before bashing a topic. And if there ever was something that needed to be bashed, its this horrible cult. And I hope you realize that your precious "LRH" is probably burning in hell as we speak.

Oh, THANK GOODNESS Scientology has been so clever as to trick me into absorbing the "tech" by opposing it... and the well-documented abuses of the organization.

That's BRILLIANT.

Breathlessly awaiting my inevitable conversion to Scientology.

*chuckle*

The Scientology Corporation is going down, and it's going down hard. You mention the cult's focus on the poor as well as the rich: It's true, they've just bought a huge "castle" in South Africa. I guess every little penny helps to keep Davey Miscavige in the lap of luxury.

Scientologists say that their "religion" is the "fastest-growing" in the world, with some millions of adherents. Not exactly. Objective estimates reckon about 50,000 at most. Scientology's "stats" have been declining since the '80s.

Quite unexpectedly, the Texas Republican Party (Ron Paul wing) has just passed a resolution declaring Scientology to be a business, not a church. It is now part of the Texas Republican Party platform. What's next? No more tax exemption. One domino has fallen -- Scientology's bigwig rich boys had better think of non-extraditable countries in which to hide. For more info: http://www.youfoundthecard.com

Congratulations! Even though your intent is to oppose it, you’re actually just as obsessed with Scientology as everyone else. The "Anonymous" dupes are actually literally ADDICTED to Scientology and they can’t get away from it. In their zeal to oppose Scientology, they actually study Scn documents more than Scientologists! The names, the terms, the concepts, the tech - it’s all part of your mindset now.

That you THINK you oppose it and hate it right now is irrelevant, you’ll grow out of that someday. All that matters right now is that LRH, even from beyond the grave, succeeded in getting HIS basic ideas and concepts into all of YOUR heads.

Thanks for playing! :)

NAY........you are NOT "going to keep expanding and helping people". It is all but over for scientology. There is an outcry all over the world and governments are beginning to listen and investigate. You will not expand and "help" people for much longer. It is almost time to accept defeat....prepare.

Adherents.com says that Scientology is the 22nd largest religion in the world. We are still very young comparatively. Still growing fast. Still having lots of fun.

You can lie about our religion all you want. We're just going to keep expanding and helping people.

Y'know, the interesting thing is that Terryeo pops up at every single comment section referring to Scientology. Just google Terryeo.

And yes, Manson was. http://www.lermanet.com/scientologyscandals/charlesmanson.htm

In one case the scilons sued a publication because they printed one line about him having an e-meter at his hideout after his arrest.

What Terryeo and Bgodley have said. Also, it really is true that Manson looked into Scientology (look around xenu.net for the quote and reference).

What's more interesting, however, is that Scientology's retention rate is very, very low. It's not unusual for many high-level staffers to "blow" (leave) the cult. In fact, just recently, Mary DeMoss is rumored to have escaped its clutches.

Thank you for your article. It is extremely hypocritical for the Cult of Scientology to pretend to promote human rights when the Cult regularly abuses the human rights of its own followers and others.

Manson received hundreds of hours of auditing while in prison through a fellow inmate. Some notable quotes from Peter Levenda's book "Sinister Forces:"

"When manson was released in 1967, he went to the Scientology Center in San Francisco. Family member "Little Paul" Watkins, who accompanied him there told me, "Charlie said to them, "I'm Clear"-what do I do now?"

"In Los Angeles, he went to the Scientology Celebrity Center. Now this was more like it. Here he could mingle with the elite. i managed to obtain a copy of the original log entry: "7/31/68, new name, Charlie Manson, Devt., No Address In for Processing = Ethics = Type III." The receptionist-who by Type III, meant "psychotic"-sent him to the Ethics Office, but he never showed up."

"At the Spahn Ranch, Manson eclectically combined his version of Scientology auditing with post-hypnotic techniques he had learned in prison, with geographical isolation and subliminal motivation....."

Here he could mingle with the elite. i managed to obtain a copy of the original log entry: “7/31/68, new name, Charlie Manson, Devt., No Address In for Processing = Ethics = Type III.” The receptionist-who by Type III, meant “psychotic”-sent him to the Ethics Office, but he never showed up.”

“At the Spahn Ranch, Manson eclectically combined his version of Scientology auditing with post-hypnotic techniques he had learned in prison, with geographical isolation and subliminal motivation…..”

Simon--You aren't even going to believe this, but I swear it's true, or at least I heard it this past week from a reliable person (not from some urban legend email). The word I heard was that Charles "Helter Skelter" Manson had looked into Scientology but rejected it because he said it was, and I quote, "too OUT there." I guess Chuck had to draw the line somewhere. --Mark Mercer
