To me, the best voter is one who believes that there is a superior Being and he or she sees the one he/she is voting for as God given leader and the leader to be is of God fearing personality.

The last thing American voters should be thinking of, is listening to man sitting with 10 Billion Dollars worth of art and gold in his secret Vatican vaults.

If ever a man had to be stopped in his tracks, it's Mr Ratzinger and his fascist Opus Dei cult members.

Free votes for free people. We don't need ex SS Hitler stormtroopers telling us how to vote.

ditch, bill and jay, I disagree with all of you. The founding fathers mentioned God enough times oficially that it is clear they had no trouble with the government acknowledging a deity. bill, your line is cute, but quite unconvincing. jay, the Church does not pretend to know the hearts and souls of those who voted for Kerry. The Church does not send souls to hell. God does. If some, or all of them go to hell, that is between them and God.

Judging by past peformance, the Pope will interfere. After all, the Church did so in the previous US elections. See "Double Cross: The Code of the Catholic Church by David Ranan. In 2004, the message was 'if you vote for Kerry, you would go to hell.'

Yep, Blair, Bush and Benedict - Who's the forth horseman??? - Bin Laden, at least the alliteration is maintained.
How is it that these witless fools ever got to be in charge of anything?
Ever get the feeling you're being had?

Two points:
(1)The Founding Fathers envisioned a secular constitution wherein all were free to pursue whatever religion they wished - or none. The final sentence of the piece is thus factually incorrect.
(2) The Pope can tell catholics to do whatever he wishes, but this should have no bearing whatsoever on what non-catholics think, say or do - especially when it comes to their democratic rights.
