I'm a very good friend of Jes and she has a great heart! She knows what she did was wrong. But let's remember only GOD can judge!

psshht. I go to columbia schools (where she attended) and was in the same grade as one of her younger sisters, let me tell you, that is one screwed up family.

her own sister got pregnant while in high school! (at least she told her mom this time) and her other sister is off doing the same things to get into trouble.

it seems so long ago , what back in , was it 2004? no 2005? im not sure i think it was 2005, i was in the county with jessica and she told me her story. i never judged her for some reason i couldnt. i was going threw one of the worst times in my life i was 18 and completely lost. but i met jess and since then i have never been the same, i know she did an awful thing that alot of people will never forgive her for, but the crazy thing was is this girl had the deepest soul and biggest heart that i ever saw in some one. no one really knows what can drive someone to the edge and her sins will always be in the deepest corners of her soul just like evryone else and some day they come out. but if it wasnt for jessica i never would have made it through that time i did and i never would have changed and become a better person as crazy as it sounds she showed me how to take a step back and really look at life and forgive people and to just be thankful for what i had. there are people that would say alot of things but for those people trust me you have to meet her there is something about that girls soul that will draw you in and make you feel like everything is ok, i cant judge her that isnt my job, do i agree with what she did? hell no, but its not up to me to judge, i haven't spoken to her since i left there i tried to keep in touch but things in life happen. you go threw life and there will only be a select few people that you will remember and wish you knew how they are years later and acctually take what they say with you in life and for me she was one of those people, i probably will never see her again but if i did i would tell her thank you for saving me, because i really lost myself for a while but something in jess helped me find it.

May God bless her and help her through this terrible situation.I watched her
interview on Oprah and I feel that she truly is sorry for the mistake she made.
Putting her in prison is never going to change what she did.I feel that she was just a
scared and confused 15 yr. old. I am not sure how her mother did'nt notice her pregnancy
that is exactly why parents need to talk to their kids about everything....

I think one thing people need to remember is thta Jessica was 15 and she should'nt
be treated as though she was an adult at the time.I feel that children(teenagers)are treated
to much like adults by parents and when they get into trouble they feel as though they should
be able to deal with their own problems.

God Bless

I think she is sincere in her comments and should be forgiven. At Fifteen, I know all of us were subject to make some of the same choices she did, given the exact same set of circumstances. She should be made to serve the time, but I pray she will live up to the calling that I think God has on her life. In looking at her, I thought that she had a real deep seated strength in her. She seems really bright and intelligent, although her actions would belie that. However, I believe a very interesting life lies ahead of her.

May God bless her.

I am fifteen years old myself i have never been pregnant but my mom had me when she was just 16 years old and told me how hard it was to take care of me and my sister and how people were telling her to get an abortion. Although what Jessica coleman did was wrong you still have to look at it from her point of veiw and the things she had to go through maybe she had a reason for what she did but you still have to realize there is more to her than just killing her baby.

What Jessica did was wrong, we can all agree on that. But after watching The Oprah Winfrey Show today, I might have different thoughts. Jessica couldn't stand 2 min. without breaking out into tears and we can all agree that she is sorry for what she did. I do agree that God will forgive and I would like for everyone to know that. Jessica did commit a serious crime and deserves the years in prison, but she will be forgiven, and she has to move on.

I was sixteen years old when I gave birth to my daughter, for seven months I hid my pregnancey from everyone NEVER once did it occur to me that I should kill my unborn baby. I was also scared to tell my parents that I had gotten pregnant. I can't say what was going through Jessica's mind I can only say how I felt and what was going through my mind I was scared that my parents would hate me throw me out and disown me even faced with those possibilities killing my baby was the farthest thing from my mind. My daughter was born in November of 96 and I know that then there were many opptions for me were I wouldn't need my parents permision she could have had an aborthion she could have taken her child to a hospital instead she killed him Jessica stated in her inveiw with Oprah that her boyfriend would stand on her stomach so she wouldn't show when they first thought of that they should have hand an abortion. What kind of person no what kind of mother looks at her baby and doesn't know if he's alive she was 16 not 3 anyone would have been able to see if the baby was breathing who looks at ther baby and stabs them with a pair of sissors. Jessica says that she feels terrible but she doesn't look it her tears don't even look real however if they are and she is truly remorseful then GOD will know I hope that she is. ANYONE out there who's pregnant please know that you have opptions the worst thing you could ever do is murder your baby have an abortion if you can't do that then take your baby to a hospital fire or police station please please don't kill them. My prayers are with all of those who feel that their world has ended because of an unplaned pregnacy please feel free to email me and I will give as much help as I can angelbabykw21@yahoo.com

Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone... We do not have the right to judge this young lady, her actions are difficult for anyone to understand but we do not know her state of mind at the time. Obviously she had issues, her bulimia and anexoria along with the need to be seen as special all spoke of her thinking and contributed to her actions. Having a parent who related to her as a friend rather than a responsible parent may have caused her to not to trust that her mother would still consider her a friend and continue to love her. There is never only one person at fault when an action such as this occurs.
The boyfriend's insistence that the pregnancy not be discovered along with the fear that he would no longer love her also added to her actions. Teenagers prize acceptance more highly than anything in their lives. All of this is not to make excuses for Jessica but to shed some light on her state of mind at the time of the ocurance. This young lady will have to live with what she has done for the rest of her days, I believe this will be punishment enough. As for her right to have other children thank God we have not reached the point where we have the right to take that away from anyone. Having a child in this case would probably cause Jessica more pain and remind her many times each day of the action she took.

I know that it is so wrong what Jessica did, and aome years in jail will make her think a lot about her crime.
Where was the mother for 9 months that did not notice any change on her daughter?....
But, why is she treated as a criminal while politicians made legal "partial birth abortion"? What about those
mothers that kill, sorry "abort" their unborn babies during the 7th, 8th or 9th month of pregnancy? Isn't the same
thing? For me and I am sure for God it is the same thing.
I truly believe that there is a God, and if Jessica is really sorry for what she did, God will forgive her.
