We are in full accord with your observations, however, would like to offer a few points of clarification. We are well aware that the majority of Christians no longer exist in the West. This is precisely the problem. Our point was that, whether the West cares to admit it or not (and it would seem, She does not),Christianity is central to Her essence and Her success. As such, it desperatley needs to be reintroduced. That Christianity is thriving in Africa, India, etc. is a reality which inspires great hope in us all. Missionaries from those lands may well need to come to ours to reintroduce us to our own Faith. Pathetic but true. And bloody necessary! If the traditions of individual liberty, rule of law, and limited government are to be truly valued and strongly defended at all, than Christianity is a MUST in the equation of The West! Europe is apostasizing out of love of money and self, and America is split, with the elites hating the idea that someone else is in charge, but normal people believing. However, to God, it doesn't matter: A black peasant in Zimbabwe is just as valuable as a NYCity yuppie, and a Pinoy in an underground bible study in Saudi is closer to the early Christians than the archbishop of Canterbury. Benedict is fighting for western civilization just like Pope Leo the Great did...but if it falls, it will be the monks from elsewhere who will come in and reevangelize Europe...in 700 they came from Ireland, at the edge of the world...indeed, even now, African Christianity is thriving in the UK...
