If you love the Motown sound, this 3 DVD set is for you! 100 classic videos featuring just about every Motown artist known to man.

Motown may not be as popular now as it once was, but for many years it was the ‘de facto’ standard for music, to record on the vaunted label was a sure fire way of knowing ‘you had arrived’ in the music world. Motown was also pivotal influences on many of today’s premier musicians. Paul Simon for example cites Motown as a very major influence in his early days of discovering music.

Don’t Forget The Motorcity includes performances by The Miracles, The Supremes, Mary Wells, Martha and the Vandellas, The Marvelettes, The Velvelettes, Billy Preston, Syreeta, Edwin Starr, The Contours, Marvellous Marv Johnson, Kim Weston, Chuck Jackson, The Elgins, Johnny Bristol, Brenda Holloway, and just about everyone else you have ever heard of.

All of the video is vintage, and consequently not every track is as good as it could be. On the other hand many of the tracks are remarkable considering their age. The technical folks have done a great job of putting this DVD set together.

I would include the track list, but I am not sure that the web server for Blogger News has that much disk space available! I am also pretty sure that I would wear out both my fingers and my keyboard! So my advice is just get your own copy from MVD.
