I'm beginning to wonder if the puppeteers behind the drapes in the White House aren't deliberately doing things to bring chaos and despair to demoralize the citizenry while funneling more power and riches to the powerful and rich. That's paranoid and simplistic, I realize, but if they were TRYING to do that, they could hardly be doing a better job of it.
