Sarjo Jallow Has Not Divorced Me Yet!!
Sarjo Jallow Has Married A New Wife!!
Barely two weeks after we ran the piece regarding the strained relationship between former Information Minister Sarjo Jallow and his wife Jainaba Bah, the former Minister’s wife has emailed the Freedom Newspaper, appealing for calm among family members. Jainaba Bah, in a dispatch to the Freedom Newspaper said she is yet to be divorced by the erstwhile Minister and thus appealed for calm among family members contacting the Freedom Newspaper to vent their anger over the issue. “Fact: Sajo Jallow has married a second woman. I believe your source has some sympathy for me. Family members and friends are still in a state of denial, but hey Sajo Jallow did what many a man is good at doing through history. That is break women’s hearts. Whether you want to call it a mid-life crisis or temporary delirium, the choice is yours.†Said Jainaba Bah.
Dear Mr. Mbai,
After publishing your article of March 5th on Sajo Jallow, I have been forced to change my phone number because of so many calls I’ve received from worried relatives, friends and loved ones. Before going any further I’d like to seize the opportunity to rectify a couple of points:
Fact: Sajo Jallow HAS NOT DIVORCED ME (yet).
Fact: In the course of 26 years we have been blessed with four children and not three as your source wrote. The oldest is 22.
Fact: Sajo Jallow has married a second woman.
I believe your source has some sympathy for me. Family members and friends are still in a state of denial, but hey Sajo Jallow did what many a man is good at doing through history. That is break women’s hearts. Whether you want to call it a mid-life crisis or temporary delirium, the choice is yours.
The story made headlines and some people reacted, but my appeal is: Please tell your source I AM FINE! There is no need to ‘piece the story together’, because honestly there is no story to piece! Any attempt to ‘piece a story’ together would definitely do more harm than good! I would expect better support from ‘a source close to the family!’
I have an education and am into a new profession after many years of struggle to aspire for a carrier and have a family at the same time! I HAVE MY CHILDREN, MY FAMILY, RELATIVES AND A COUPLE OF VERY GOOD AND SUPPORTIVE FRIENDS! With the Grace of Allah they’ll not let me go down!
I strongly believe I’ll come out of this ordeal a much better and stronger lady. As the saying goes: “that which does not kill you, makes you strongerâ€.
Let us give Sajo Jallow the space and time to enjoy his new job and new relationship!
This is what happens everyday to ordinary people, and I count myself among the masses. In the larger framework of things the marriage of Sajo Jallow and Jainaba Bah (on the rocks) is less important than other grander causes. So, let’s move on with that which affects our society at large and work out solutions to improve the lives of ordinary people in our own small ways. As Obama is want to quip “Let’s Go to Work!â€- Allow ‘Bah-rack’ bring a smile on your face:-)!
I thank you for the space and your time!
