I was never too big into trucks or construction stuff as a kid.  I built a lot of stuff with my set of blocks and I would construct great cities and water systems in the sandbox and then drown everyone.  But a kids show about construction would never have done anything for me.  However, for those who it would do something for, you are now in luck.  There is now a new addition to that weighty tome.

Starting this March 4th, now available on DVD from HIT Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, is the newest collection of television shows from Bob the Builder and his Can-Do Crew.  Yes, parents and children, Bob The Builder – Building Bobland Bay is available to bring home and watch again and again whenever you want to!

This disc contains six episodes, all about the adventures of Bob and his friends as they seek to build Bobland Bay, a new tourist destination on the sea.  Episode One is “The House That Lofty Built.”  In this episode, the whole crew learns about the important of feeling at home.  Episode Two is “Bob’s Big Idea.”  In this episode, Bob is reminded of how important it is to share and work as a team.  Episode Three is “Lofty The Lifeguard.”  In this episode, Lofty learns to overcome his fear to save someone’s life.  Episode Four is “Star Struck Spud.”  In this episode, Bob and his crew decide to make a movie, but run into trouble along the way.  Episode Five is “Tumbler and the Skate Park.”  In this episode, we meet Tumbler the cement mixer and learn a valuable lesson about humility and respect.  Episode Six is “Fantastic Flex.”  In this episode, we meet flex and learn about the importance of teamwork.

In a shocker for children’s television shows on DVD, this disc actually includes some special features.  The first of these is a bonus episode from the show Fireman Sam – “Bug Eyed Boy From Venus.”  The second special feature is a bonus episode from Fifi And The Flowertots – “Hole Lot Of Fun.”  The third special feature is one which allows your child to meet the new members of Bob the Builder’s Can-Do Crew.  These special features certainly make this disc even more appealing.

Bob the Builder has always been involved in charming shows.  Each episode speaks of teamwork and cooperation, along with many other valuable life lessons.  The animation is delightful, the stories are compelling, and it’s a whole lot of fun all along the way.  Your children will love this show.

Building Bobland Bay is a charming look at a wonderful world of possibilities.
