Oregon based World Net Daily (WND) a well known conservative leaning news organization is running a front page story that no doubt is causing acid reflux in the Obama camp right now.
One of the ‘official’ Obama websites MyObama is carrying a message of endorsement from non other than Malik Zulu Shabazz the chairman of the New Black Panther Party, or NBPP. Even worse, it appears that Shabazz is a registered blogger at the site.
The NBPP has a rich history, non of which would be in the interests of Obama’s cause. Shabazz himself has made a number of speeches that are of a pretty racist nature, exactly the area that Barack Obama wants to stay clear of. The WND article goes to great lengths to hammer home some of the more inflammatory remarks that Shabazz has made over the years.
“Obama will stir the ‘Melting Pot’ into a better ‘Molten America,’” the endorsement says on the MyObama site.
The WND article goes on to add
Shabazz’s NBPP’s official platform states “white man has kept us deaf, dumb and blind,” refers to the “white racist government of America,” demands black people be exempt from military service, and uses the word “Jew” repeatedly in quotation marks.
Ouch is all I can say, watch the Obama camp distance themselves from Shabazz faster than a recount in Florida!
I am sure that it will not take long for the Clinton camp to discover this endorsement and try and make some hay while the sun shines. I love a good clean fight.

You know, it’s a public forum. Anyone can sign up with what ever name they want.. It appears that the forum profile that allegedly was registered by the New Black Panther Party has been deleted.
Do you think that they’d run a story about the American Fascist Party endorsing John McCain if I registered that account name on John McCain’s site?
Cosmic, I am sure that if I was doing the site maintenance for Obama or McCain I would be keeping an eye on the content. And be pretty leery about an entry like that.
Blogger News is a lot larger site than MyObama, and we certainly keep up with what is going on.

No surprise that black groups would endorse a black man running for president, especially one in the lead. There are a spectrum of people out there, on both sides of politics.
The question is what the candidates do with these groups. Obama’s campaign has removed the page. Obama does not support such groups.
He has a message of unity, of working toward common goals together. If we continue to divide ourselves into small groups, we will not be able to build support for changes that we need to make. It’s very important that we start coming together.
Why does a black man have to denounce and reject the very things that made him what he is today.
They are going to pressure OBama until he quits.
It is unfortunate because we are still slaves in form or another.

I have heard much debate as to whether or not Mr. Obama is sincere regarding his opposition to the statements made by Rev. Wright. Although I am not
convinced, based on his 20 years of close association and support of this man, I am more troubled by his now outspoken rejection of his statements. It
deeply reflects on his lack of sincerity and his lack of leadership. It takes a strong personality to stand up for what is right. When racist, anti-
Semitic, and anti-American statements were being preached from the pulpit of his own church, Mr. Obama never stood up to protest these statements. Why
not? Why wouldn’t the man who seeks to be President and the leader of the Free World, have the moral fortitude to speak out against such blatant hatred?
It is only now that all of this has been exposed, that he ademantly denounces these statements as well as the award given to Luis Farakhan. Where was
Mr. Obama while all this was taking place? As a parent, does he want his own children to be taught hatred? Only now does he want to distance himself
from the firestorm, with gilded words of unity. It is true that you cannot pick your relatives and if your grandmother had improper racial thoughts you

So, anyway, there are around 700,000 registered users on the Obama website. Registering requires no verification at all…. It’s impossible to police that many users.
