Like the spider who uses the wind to carry its first first thread, Obama accuser Larry Sinclair uses the cyberspace to weave his web of sordid accusations against Senator Obama while panhandling for “donations” in his quest to reveal “the truth.” Now we read on one of “Larry’s sites” that Larry is now demanding Senator Obama “turn over his cell phone records”.
Since the beginning of this tale, weaved by Sinclair, Sinclair has “demanded” Obama step forward and “tell the truth” about Obama’s “sex and drug use” while Sinclair has failed to provide one single shred of evidence linking he and the Senator together. Nor has Sinclair taken a polygraph and submitted the results.
Sinclair has also failed to provide any account for his own “activities” such as past employment, past altercations with the law, possible stays in prison, charges of credit card theft, drug and human smuggling, bringing illegals across the border, “for a price”.
It’s been three weeks since DBKP first reported the Larry Sinclair story, Obama: Man Claims Gay Sex, Drugs Back in ‘99 With Barack, Larry’s Youtube video and how a seemingly earnest and gay “Leave It To Beaver” Larry sat in front of a camera and told a tale of nights of gay sex, cocaine, rented limos, and a motel room in Gurnee, Illinois, with then State Representative Barack Obama.
Since Larry Sinclair’s first video appeared on Youtube there’s been several developments.
On February 11th, Sinclair filed a federal lawsuit in the District of Minnesota Federal District Court against Senator Obama, his campaign manager, David Axelrod, and the DNC.
In his suit, Sinclair claims Senator Obama, Axelrod and the DNC “have and continue to conspire against the rights of citizens in that they are actively engaged in ongoing internet intimidation, claiming to be engaging in the conduction of illegal investigations into plaintiff’s personal life, an actively involved in preventing allegations brought of illegal drug use and sexual activity involving Senator Obama…”

He’s forbidden anyone to cut, copy, or paste from any of his sites, calling it “copyright” infringement, all the while begging for monies to continue his crusade of “truth” against Obama. But as a “lawyer” Larry surely knows it’s not illegal to quote him.
On Feb. 23rd, DBKP recounted how the site, Whitehouse.com offered Sinclair the sum of $10,000 to take a polygraph with another $100,000 if he passed in Larry Sinclair: Obama Accuser Submits to Polygraph.
Sinclair agreed to take two tests by an expert picked by Whitehouse, Dr. Ed Gelb. After the expert declared “deception” in both tests Sinclair cried foul, claiming Gelb had lied about his credentials.
Show Me The Money…
The agreement between Whitehouse.com and Sinclair fell apart. During this period Sinclair made public a copy of a stay at a Choice Hotel in Gurnee, Illinois back in November of 1999 as well as proclaiming he also had a “copy” of a bar tab, that this was “proof” he and Senator Obama had engaged in a sordid quickie fling.

Sinclair went after Whitehouse with charges that Whitehouse was an Obama operative and that the owner, Dan Parisi would be “criminally” charged by the authorities for putting a “stop payment” on a $20,000 check. DBKP - Obama Accuser Goes After Whitehouse.com

Larry wrote on his sites that the two $5,000 checks which Whitehouse.com wrote to two charities in Duluth, Minnesota, which Larry designated, have returned the monies to Whitehouse. Larry writes that he chose a reporter to give the checks to the charities with “no publicity” involved.
A reporter… no publicity? Larry blames the checks being returned on “Barack supporters”. In fact Larry blames 99,199% of just about everything on Barack supporters.
By March 5th Sinclair’s credibility had hit an all time low at -10, DBKP’s Larry Sinclair: Obama Accuser Blows Credibility and how he had led many “down the garden path to Hell”:

It’s not JUST the Globe article that trashed his credibility, (Not the Boston Globe…The Globe Magazine…no, not the Boston Globe Magazine - THE GLOBE MAGAZINE…the one at the checkout counter…yes, that one), but that goes a long, long way. I mean, think about it. If a tabloid that believes Bigfoot exists won’t believe Larry Sinclair then you’re talking a fairly insurmountable image problem. I can’t accurately categorize the socio-economic bracket to which most of Sinclair’s followers belong but I can’t help but posit that many of them buy the The Globe and, perhaps, even have subscriptions. Sinclair has used the Whitehouse.com brouhaha as a reason to raise cash. According to Larry, any “donations” will be going to legal funds, pens, papers, filing fees, ect., Larry writes that “it is our goal to raise $5,000 by the end of the month”.
Sinclair has also added a photoshoppe on one of his sites of a much, much younger Larry and Senator Obama smoking a cigarette with the caption from Obama: “I hope Larry doesn’t kiss and tell”.
Larry writes that his mission is about accountability, that “accountability can be indeed applied be to all”.
If Larry is truly interested in accountability then Larry needs to do some accounting of his own. He could start with the period of November of 1999.
Sinclair has sent a letter to Senator Obama demanding he turn over all his cell phone records for November of 1999. We figured if Larry Sinclair can make demands so can we.

Since Larry Sinclair first posted his video on Youtube back at the end of January, Sinclair has not provided any solid proof that Senator Obama was within a hundred miles of Larry Sinclair’s “upscale” lounge, “rented limo”, or Choice motel in Gurnee, Illinois.
Sinclair took two polygraphs, but neither of which the results, over than rumored deceptions, have been released. What Sinclair has done is mounted an effort to raise “donations” for his “legal fees” to go after “persons with deep pockets.” Sinclair hasn’t gone out and gotten his own polygraph expert and taken another test. Sinclair may be banking that we’ve forgotten his original assertion, that he, Sinclair, was going to submit to a polygraph.
Perhaps Sinclair could use some of those “donations” to pay for a polygraph. After all, “truth” and “accountability” are two of Sinclair’s basic tenets.

Actually - in addition to this - the receipt for the hotel stay that Larry produced only covered up till the 6th of November. Now so far as I know, check out time from a motel is usually 10am - perhaps as late as 1pm - but Larry claimed to have met Obama on the NIGHT of the 6th and then to have had another encounter with Obama on the 7th. Larry says that he paid for an extension to his stay in the motel at the motel and that they did not keep any records of this - so he hasn’t in fact produced any proof that he was in Chicago at the times that he said he interacted with Obama.
Further - I’ve pointed out to Larry a number of inconsistencies in his story, which apart from getting a bit shirty and mouthy with me he has not actually refuted - this being for the simple fact that I’m very careful to make sure not to challenge someone unless there is hard evidence for the challenge.
And yeah, I do think I was interacting with him even though he said in a later YouTube video he has never interacted with people outside his YouTube video or his newly formed blog. My personal experience suggests to me that he clings to anywhere talking about ‘HIM’ like a bee drawn to honey. I have no doubts he actively commented on both Whitehouse and Big Head DC. I’ve watched Larry’s style long enough to know if someone was faking being him - at least I’m very confident that is the case.
My summation of Larry is that give him enough rope and he will hang himself with it. The greatest menace to Larry is himself. I don’t think he has very good impulse control and suspect his life has been replete with self-destructive behavior.
The greater point I’m making with this is that if you are making the charges that Larry is making - in the name of doing some benevolent public service - you can’t show any inconsistency in your story, certainly shouldn’t invite people around so as to send them away in body bags, certainly shouldn’t canvass for funds from the public and it would help greatly if you had a personal history that gave one iota of confidence that you were not a massive fraud. In my view, Larry fails on each of these counts.

Craig has removed his video from public view because CHI”s legal dept has mailed a letter confirming the statement to be authentic and sent by CHI and they are confirming the extension of the original reservation which I posted the extension confirmation number but they choose to ignore it to meet their position. Thanks for this concise summary of the situation. I posted a couple of times to Larry, but I came to realize that giving attention to the delusion is playing right into the hands of the perpetrator.
I wonder…what is Larry’s criminal history? He’s certainly lived in a lot of places. How many lawsuits has he pressed in his life? It seems he wants to litigate against anyone who disagrees with him. And I don’t want to hear about threats. The guy with the web domain has made it quite clear that he tried to have a reasonable discussion and Larry twisted it and he HAS A WITNESS.

Interestingly enough, I didn’t know that Larry got $20,000 in addition to the contributions (which were very nice, but I imagine calculated) and that the issue between Whitehouse.com and Larry was that they believed he was going to put them in touch with the supposed limo driver. Start from February 13th and work your way up…some interesting correspondence.
Anyway, no need to defend him to me Sister Rosetta. I believe Larry is a pathological liar.

I have not seen anything from any legal department confirming anything Larry has said. What I do know is that Larry was arrested in Pueblo CO on 11-8-99. He claims for a Parole violation. I guess when the FOIA records hard copy requests are filled then we will know. I took into consideration that the information that I have was not displayed well I want to organize everything nicely. ADDED BY LARRY:People post things claiming they have verified, just as Craig in the post referred to in this comment claimed he verified my arrest in Pueblo on 11-8-99 which I clearly stated was my failure to personally speak with PO on my not returning until 11-8-99. Now he states when the FOIA requests are filed, so that means he is admitting that he has in fact obtained those records illegally as he clearly states he has not filed any such requests yet. Craig was informed on 2-25-08 which I have the youtube email sent to him, stating the document from Choice Hotels was not a copy of the actual statement as he/she continues to claim, but in fact a document provided at my request in Jan 08 from Member services, which provided the original reservations numbers for original reservation and the extension thru 11-8-99 but they do not include this. The video being set to private by Craig is not an issue as I have downloaded it. As for the claim by the other comment or post referred to stating they were not aware of the $20,000 check from Whitehouse.com is just stupid since the whole issue over the failing to honor the check was posted by almost every single blog attacking me. My criminal record has been disclosed and was done so by me, not by Craigshotshit or anyone else.

I believe Larry Sinclair after listening to his radio interviews. I believe he is telling the truth about his encounter with Obama in Nov. of 1999. This is not going away and it should be reported on because it is now a “newsworthy” story because the first part of these proceedings has become a federal complaint filed in a court of law.

These actions are not the actions of someone who is “lying”. In my opinion these are the actions of someone who has been unjustly maligned and pushed too far and whose only recourse is through a court of law.

Where to start…
Barack Obama has graduated from Harvard Law School, chose to go back and work in the community when he could have just gone off and made a fortune, shows a deep understanding of our country and expresses it eloquently. He has done nothing that makes me not believe that he is who I see when I watch him.
Larry Sinclair OTOH is a convicted criminal. I don’t know the whole story of his past. He says he’s been up front by telling you he has a jaded past, but we don’t know him. Having spent a lot of time reading about people who break the law, I know for sure that they can be very believable and everyone who challenges them tends to be a liar. This is what I see from Larry. If he was so concerned about Obama’s use of drugs, he NEVER had to say one thing about a sexual encounter…at all to the public. There are some details he is not willing to disclose. Why not that? Why has the main stream media not picked up on this if it’s true? They have lots of resources to investigate a claim like this. You think that Barack Obama owns the media. Bill Clinton could not surpress the Monica Lewinsky story. Michael Isekoff had it all and trust me, if Larry has the truth on his side, he should contact Isekoff straight off because he’s not afraid to look into anything.
Also, given the fact that Barack Obama had an infant daughter, less than 6 months old at the time of this supposed incident, I find it incredible to believe that he could just go get high on crack and deal with a new baby, life as a legislator, etc, and carry it off. It just does not compute.
One has a past that is marked with achievement in the public realm. The other has a past that is marked with criminality. If I have to use my judgement on who to believe, I’m going with the one who has a sense of obligation to the community rather than one who has in the past ripped it off.

Just wanted to update….
I went into Justia to check on the Obama, DNC, Alexrod vs Sinclair case in MN. Opinion was written by Chief US Magistrate Judge Raymond L. Erickson on February 25, 2008. Two judgements:
1. That the Plantiff’s Amended Application to Proceed In Forma Pauperis be denied. (Meaning pauperas, ie, like a pauper, relief from filing fees).
2. That this action be summarily dismissed pursuant to Title 28 U.S.C.1915(e)(2)(B)(ii).
Objections were due by March 13,2008.
On March 19, 2008 a Judgement Order was signed which states the above two rulings for this case, Case Number: 08-CV-0360(JMR/RLE).
Given I just read the ruling in this case, it seems fairly obvious that the other one (duh) will also be dismissed. It’s very easy to search cases on Justia
