How is that for independent thought? $0.02 here and there adds up to 40% of my income in federal, state and municipal taxes with a fraction of that in genuine services received. I am not a fan of the war, either, but that spending does not justify this funding. Wow, you can do simple math and know that there are sixty minutes in an hour. That is a staggering $.02 per tax payer annually. The average working family is now paying over $1000 a year to fund the war in Iraq and the U.S. government is paying $412 billion a year in interest on loans while hypocritically preaching about responsible borrowing practices for all Americans.
