I just came from a wonderful Sam Moore and Friends Concert at the Ryman (Grand Ol' Opry home)Auditorium. The freinds included; Wynonna, Travis Tritt, Jo Dee Messina, and Lorie Morgan. Sam paired up with all of these freinds presenting wonderful duets throughout the 3 hour show. One would never guess the man is 72 years old. He has a voice that sounds like a teenager to this day. I have been a fan of Sam and Sam and Dave for over 40 years. The show tonight was a benefit for Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. Sam paid tribute to his friend, Billy Preston. Sam is a good man who demonstrates a tremendous amount of character. I encourage anyone who has the opportunity to see him live, do so. He is truly a treasure. I hope the Soul MAn can keep on singing that Soul music into eternity.
