Not only was he not convicted of taking bribes in the Keating 5 scandal, after an extensive investigation, he wasn't even censured by the Senate. I heard the gentleman who was his lawyer at the time discuss that episode recently. He strenuously argued McCain had done nothing. The man was Robert Bennett, the same man who defended Clinton during his impeach. When it looked like this guy stood for "honesty, ethics and straight talk", they couldn' t stand him. Now he's ONE OF THEM! Well, if the McCains somehow manage to get in there, then Bill and Hil-Liar-y's lawlessness will have been eclipsed. McCain = GOP suicide. Drugs and theft. Jail for other non-connected people.
